I have had the opportunity to work with Along Came Carol Catering and The Nook on more than one occasion, beginning with a beautifully curated 50th birthday dinner, and most recently through another meaningful celebration, my foundation's Warrior Mom Brunch. You could walk right past Fairfield Avenue in Fairfield, Connecticut and completely miss this hidden gem and honestly, I love that about it. Carol may not appreciate me saying this, but there is something special about a place that feels exclusive, like you have to be in the know. The moment you step inside The Nook, you feel transported. The space is thoughtfully curated, whimsical yet bold, vibrant yet intimate. It carries this old world speakeasy charm that somehow manages to feel classy, celebratory, artistic, and deeply personal all at once. It is the kind of place that can hold joy properly, victory dinners, milestone birthdays, praise dance moments, sisterhood gatherings, all of it fits naturally within the walls of this beautiful space. And then there is Carol’s culinary brilliance. I have never seen a menu so extensive. Soups, pastas, chicken dishes, creative combinations you did not even know existed. The choices can honestly become overwhelming in the best possible way because just when you think you know what you want, Carol introduces something that completely changes your mind. What truly sets this experience apart, however, is Carol herself. She is warm. engaging, personable and totalled invested in what she does. Her passion rubs off on everyone around her. She cares about your event as though it were her own because the success of your celebration reflects her level of professionalism, creativity, and excellence. If you are looking for a small intimate venue that can beautifully hold all the joy life has to offer, this is the spot.

Chef Carol is THE person In Fairfield County for perfect parties and dinners with superb food and carefully curated menus. Her dining room is like a small piece of Paris! Beautiful!

Thank you so much Carol for making my 60th birthday celebration at the Nook something to remember! The food was perfection--delicious and served artfully. The space was delightfully different and creative and I couldn't have chosen a more perfect setting for my party. Our server did a great job making sure everyone had what they needed and they were warm and friendly. All in all, it was a fantastic event!!!

From the moment I arrived at The Nook, I was swept into a magical setting—soft candlelight, beautifully set tables, and an ambiance that felt both intimate and enchanting. What began as a dinner among 20 strangers quickly became a shared experience with newfound friends, all brought together by the charm of the space. The six-course meal was a masterpiece—each dish thoughtfully crafted, visually stunning, and absolutely delicious. The entire evening was filled with warmth, connection, and so much fun. I left already looking forward to my next visit!

Long overdue review. Had my husband's 65th birthday there a few years ago. When it came my turn, I couldn't think of any place better than the Nook. The entire event, both times, were exactly as we hoped, intimate and private. I absolutely can not say enough about Carol, her food or her staff. I worked with Carol to come up with a menu that was talked about for weeks after the event. My advise to anyone, listen to her. She knows her way around a kitchen. My only regret is that the night couldn't have lasted longer.
