Josh and Taylor were great with helping us create and order a headstone for my mother. However, the problems and dissatisfaction started after the order was placed and the deposit was paid by myself. My brother was paying the remaining balance. He made a few periodic payments and one day we both get an email that was worded very rudely, given the topic of a memorial of a deceased person. It was basically a demand for the balance of about $1500 and saying they had made numerous attempts to contact us when they had never made a call or sent an email before. They also advised we could contact Wright Patt Credit Union for a loan to pay the balance. I called Dodds to speak about the distasteful tone of the email and also to see who they contacted because my brother also confirmed they had not contacted him. I also discovered a late fee of $20 had been charged for the last 3 months and asked for that to be removed. The guy in the Xenia office seemed disinterested and really didn't care until he looked and confirmed that the one email from that day was in fact the only contact made. He contacted the email composer, Tammy Adams and call me back to confirm they would remove the late fees. I paid the amount in full and was told the headstone would be placed in 2-3 weeks depending on the weather. This all occurred on May 6. To date, June 10th it still has not been placed. My brother reached out a few weeks after payment was made to check the status and he was told to contact Dean at the cemetery to see when the foundation would be poured because that was all they were waiting for. Ummm that's not our job! I got confirmation on 5/25 from a relative that visited the site that the foundation was there and seemed to be for a while. My brother called again last week and now we are being told 60 more days and we will receive an email once it is placed. Very frustrating and nothing we can do now that they have the money. I wish we had went elsewhere. The amount of care and empathy showed by Dodds is not ideal or what you would expect when working with grieving families.

I was serviced by Josh and his customer service was excellent. This was my first experience and he was very patient in answering my questions, which were quite a few. Should I ever need this service again Dodds will definitely be my “go to”. Thank you again

Although this review is not being posted from my personal Google account, my name is Terra E. Pernell, and I wanted to share our family’s experience with Dodds.
My family came to Dodds to select a headstone for our mother. After her homegoing, we were not ready to make an immediate decision about placing her headstone. It took time for our family to heal and feel prepared to move forward. When we were finally ready, I am truly grateful that we chose Dodds to create our mother’s memorial.
Josh was incredibly understanding, knowledgeable, and compassionate throughout the entire process. He took great care in guiding us and paid close attention to every detail to ensure we were able to properly honor our mother’s memory.
From the very first time we walked through the door to the moment we were notified that her headstone had been placed, we experienced nothing but professionalism, kindness, and exceptional care.
Our family is sincerely thankful to Josh and the team at Dodds for helping us create such a beautiful and meaningful tribute to our mother.
The design choice, the quality of the stone and materials, the timeline for delivery, future care instructions, were all clearly provided and explained. Thank you, Dodds, and thank you Josh!

I was very pleased with the time and attention Dodds Memorial Service gave to me in my time of need. Josh showed true empathy and respect for the difficulty of losing a family member and made the process of selecting a memorial stone bearable. Thanks for all your support.
