Roux's Gourmet Catering

Our experience with The Foundry at Rae’s Creek and Roux Catering was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I communicated directly with Robert, the owner, about securing our wedding date. After visiting on a Saturday, I submitted my selected menu on Sunday so I could receive a quote. I had already reviewed the menu prior to that — I simply needed pricing in order to move forward. During our communication, I was told to wait a few days and look over the menu. Again, I had already done that and was ready to secure the building. I had no issue paying the deposit he requested. In fact, he told me the deposit would be the full amount $3100 for the building — which was different from the $500 deposit listed on the website — but I was still prepared to pay it because I knew I wanted the venue. On Tuesday, I called to check on the menu quote and to go ahead and pay the deposit. I was then told that someone had called earlier that same day — before me — to book the building and that my date was no longer available. Being told to wait, following that instruction, and then losing the date is unacceptable. The timing also feels like an incredible coincidence. What makes this even more frustrating is that our current venue and several other vendors either gave us a grace period to hold our date or clearly communicated that they would notify us if another inquiry came in before booking over us. That level of transparency and courtesy is standard practice. We were not given that consideration here. Wedding planning requires clear communication and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I strongly encourage future couples to clarify hold policies in writing and not rely solely on verbal direction. I do not recommend The Foundry at Rae's Creek or Roux's Gourmet Catering due to the unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and lack of consideration for potential clients.

Roux's catered my sons rehearsal dinner this weekend. The food was amazing and the staff provided exceptional service. All of our guests were very complimentary of the food and service. Robert, you and your staff were fantastic.

Food was exceptional at event! Appetizers were delicious! Main course and dessert were delicious! Sweet tea was exceptional! Servers were very courteous! I heard numerous compliments about the menu. I hope to get pickups for smaller groups in the future! Thanks for your exceptional service and delicious food selection! May God continue to prosper your business!

The staff was pleasant, and the appetizer portion was amazing. The fruit and sausage was fresh, tasty, and the dips were surprisingly flavorful. I unfortunately was not a fan of the dinner portion at all, the rice was a strange combination mix of flavors and both meats we had - the chicken breast and sliced beef - were extremely dry and lacking in flavor. The salad dressing however was very good and so were the rolls. The desserts were sweet and much more appealing.

Roux catered my wedding reception yesterday. We were very impressed with all aspects of our event, thanks to Robert and his staff! My husband and I are unfamiliar with event planning, and Robert was very helpful and patient in answering all our questions from the beginning. We were planning long distance, and he was flexible in accommodating our needs. While my husband and I planned on a buffet dinner menu ( we thought that was just a wedding "standard"), I am so glad Robert suggested heavy appetizer stations based on our guest count and vision for event flow. Robert worked with us to pick food items to create a varied but cohesive menu. I can tell Roux spends a lot of time planning presentation of the food items as much as flavor. I received just as many compliments on the taste of the food items as the aesthetics of the food station set up! Robert and his staff have a great eye for these small but important details that make all the difference. Roux staff were kind and helpful to our guests before, during and after the event. As a former food service worker, I am very impressed with staff efficiency during our event. Thank you so much for making our wedding reception an event to remember!
