Send them to a different community. the village of meyerland is only for yall money for real. they have the same food they don’t switch it up. they never actually fix things around there. They tell yall one thing during the tour but when it’s time for yall to move in it’s not everything they say it is. This is supposed to be an assistant living place but it tuned into a nursing home. I highly don’t recommend this exact location. Go to the southampton or riveroaks location. The RA’s at this location is amazing but they don’t treat them well. They brush everything we say under the rug as if our opinion doesn’t matters. They don’t understand what they workers are going through and only tell them when they are in the wrong or what they need to do better when they doing the best they can do. They was supposed to been give they workers a raise but never do. Where is all the money they getting from the residents. WHY IS THIS LOCATION ONLY GETTING PAID $14 AND OTHER LOCATIONS GETTING PAID $16???? I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND PUTTING YOUR PARENTS IN THIS LOCATION!!!!

I moved my parents in three months ago (mom in memory care and dad in assisted living) and have been really pleased with the decision. The staff are amazingly kind and always gracious. One particular day we came back from a long day at the hospital with my mom and as a family, we were spent. Patrice was on her way out and maybe my face showed that day, but she took care of us to get my mom settled for the evening. There were no words for how much that meant to me and my dad. The staff works hard and I appreciate everyone of them! I would recommend this to anyone with family in the same position. Basic notes: the place is clean, organized, full of smiles and always helpful when my parents need something.

My wife and I recently toured and researched The Village of Meyerland on behalf of my 87 year-old mother. We were very impressed by the community, including the facilities, the residents and the staff. All-in-all, a wonderful place! Michael was super nice and helpful in showing us around and sharing information about both VOM as well as some considerations for us to think about in our search process that we had not previously thought about.

Village of Meyerland is more than a place to live - it is a community. Michael Edelshtain and staff made us feel welcome when we toured, and he empowered us with information to make the best choices for our family. The space was gorgeous, the staff was gracious, the Jewish community was vibrant, and it felt like we had an ally, not a sales person.

On the outside and touring, this place is great. However the everyday duties are highly neglected. My mother in law has been here for a year and I can honestly say that her room has never been cleaned once although there is a note of the back door that her scheduling is every week. We have to clean the floors, counters, and bathrooms ourselves. There has been a broken towel rack on the bathroom floor for 6 months even after requests to have it fixed. I finally just reinstalled it myself with my own wall anchors. Her toilet had been clogged for 8 days. She had to go to the public restroom in the hallway that whole time until I came and to visit and had to find a plunger and do it myself.
She is supposed to be getting showers with assistance (the extra level of care we pay for) but doesn’t get showered until we do it on our biweekly visit. It is unhealthy. Her hair looks sooo greasy when we see her and she stinks.
We never see any staff anywhere. I don’t believe the management knows the level of laziness of their workers. We are being charged for services that don’t get done.
