Touchmark on West Century

My mom and I moved to Touchmark in June 2023 when she needed memory care, and after looking at several communities, we felt Touchmark was the best fit for her. When we compared pricing to other places, it was very similar—but what really stood out was everything that was included. Touchmark offers a wide variety of activities and amenities, and they do a great job engaging residents and helping them live a full, active life, which made the value even better. What really stood out to us was the quality of life in memory care. There is great life enrichment programming, and residents have opportunities to stay engaged and connected. My mom truly felt like she was part of a community—not just someone tucked away in a memory care neighborhood. That meant everything to us. On nice days, residents can also enjoy time outdoors in a secure courtyard, which was very important to our family. For me, living in independent living has been just as positive. I truly have my independence—I can come and go as I please, keep my own routine, and live my life the way I want. At the same time, I have access to all the amenities and activities whenever I choose, which is a wonderful balance. The atmosphere here is very welcoming, and the staff are genuinely friendly and caring. One thing I especially enjoy is the health and fitness club, which features a hydrotherapy pool and offers a variety of classes, including exercise and water aerobics. In addition, there is in-house physical therapy available, which I personally used when I first arrived at Touchmark. The dining experience is another highlight—it really feels restaurant-style and is a big step up from where I lived before. Transportation has also been incredibly convenient and helpful. They will take you anywhere in the Bismarck-Mandan area, whether it’s for appointments or personal outings, which makes day-to-day life much easier. Overall, Touchmark has been a wonderful place to live, and I’m very grateful we found it when we did.

Touchmark is such a great community. The staff is genuinely kind and you can tell they really care about the people who live there. There is always something going on and it feels active and welcoming, not what most people expect. The menu has a lot of variety, there is something for everyone.They even have a pool, which is such a fun surprise. The best thing is that everyone there, both living there and working there, always seem happy. What stands out most is the sense of community. You can feel it right away. It is the kind of place you do not just feel comfortable moving a loved one into, you find yourself thinking, “I would live here too.”

Touchmark is such a neat community. They offer several family friendly events throughout the year and we have attended as many as we’ve been able to, and as soon as one is over my kids ask when the next one is. They have always offered such fun activities and great food and music. My kids have met so many of the community members at Touchmark and look forward to seeing them and talking with them. Through the work of the Activites Director Julie, I have been afforded the privilege to share music at Touchmark, offering a group piano class and playing for an honorary reception. Being in this space is incredibly enjoyable and enriching. The environment is so welcoming and the residents and staff are friendly, engaged and so much fun!! It appears no effort is spared for the residents. I hope to continue participating in the Touchmark community. Fantastic place to be!

My mom has lived here for over 10 years and worked out here for even longer. We recently moved her from independent to assisted living. I can't say enough good things about the wonderful the employees at Touchmark! When I go to visit, I stay with her, so I get to see everyone from the dining staff to the cleaning and maintenance people. They truly care about the residents, check on them, and understand their needs. When I called to get breakfast for my mom when she wasn't feeling well, she knew what she would have normally ordered and even sent things I forgot to order, knowing that's what mom would want. When she was sick but in independent living, I called and they checked on her until I could fly in. Mom has enjoyed so many activities over the years - music, outings, movies, cards, church services, etc. It's where she gets her hair done and picks up her pharmacy needs. When it is -10, she doesn't skip a beat and I don't have to worry about her in the cold. When she needs to go to the doctor, the sweet drivers get her there safely. Her apartment is always clean, tidy, and well maintained. If there is an issue, staff make themselves available and do their best to resolve any issues. When they have the inevitable staffing issues, they seem to take care of it. Patrick and Terri are truly an extraordinary team running the facility with professionalism and, most importantly to me, heart for all who live and work there. Thank you, Touchmark!!
