Skeffington Funeral, and specifically Jim, helped my family organize a funeral for the sudden passing of my brother. Jim was so thorough and caring, making sure my family knew our options while also handling the necessary details without causing any undue stress as we tried to process and grieve our loss. We felt comforted knowing that no question or request was too much or unreasonable. Even after the funeral and service concluded, the Skeffington staff made sure to reach out and ensure our family had resources for the continued healing journey. Working with Jim and his team relieved an extraordinary amount of stress and made a truly fitting service possible for a very unique individual. My family and I consider Jim and his team angels who supported us through one of the most difficult times we have ever experienced as a family. I trust that Jim and the Skeffington team operate first with care and empathy — in service of those who must endure and make decisions regarding a funeral, but also of the departed — so that the experience can be one of peace and hope. After seeing photos and videos of my mom, he immediately recognized that her legacy was far greater than her 99 years of life — she was deeply loved, cherished, and admired by many. Jim made certain I understood that he would take as much as possible off my shoulders and guide me through each step with care and patience. During a time that can feel overwhelming, his calm presence brought tremendous comfort. Skeffington Funeral Home is truly committed to providing exceptional service before, during, and even after the funeral services. My family continuously complimented the funeral home I chose, sharing how beautiful, spacious, and welcoming the sitting rooms were for our family and friends gathering to honor my mother. They were also highly impressed with the valet parking. I will always be grateful for the dignity, grace, and heartfelt Jim provided to my mother and our entire family.

During a heightened emotional state, as it is during the loss of a loved one, it is incredibly important to have someone who can help you manage the funeral process. Funeral director and his team supports you from the moment you are confronted with the hardship of the loss of the loved one, through the moment the person is buried. Very accommodating, with service held at the funeral home with visitation hours, followed by a mass service, before burial. When I highlighted to the Funeral Director that some family members would not be able to attend, the director purchased a webcast system, so a live feed could be shared with family members unable to travel. Consequently, family members could be part of the ceremony; this is going beyond the call of service (thank you!). This is my second time employing Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations.

During one of the most difficult times in my life, the staff at this funeral home went above and beyond to help me with my dad’s cremation. From the very first phone call, they were incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate. Jim answered every question I had with care, and he walked me through each step so I never felt overwhelmed. His empathy and professionalism truly made a painful experience a little easier to bear. I am so grateful for the support and comfort Skeffington provided. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of caring and respectful services during such a difficult time.
