Jackson Memorial Funeral Obituaries

I highly do not recommend. This man Damion will tell everyone all of your business. If your having issues he will share your issues with other people who’s names are not even signed on the funeral papers. He will not keep anything confidential that you discuss with him he will spread your information and embarrass you. Even after you tell him and his workers not disclose any funeral arrangements or discussions or issues that was handled he will still talk about you and gossip about you. Do not go to this man if you want all of Mississippi knowing your hurtful business with burying your family member. This place will put your business out into the streets.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. On February 12, 2026, I was informed by my family to arrive at 2 PM to view my brother’s body. I adjusted my schedule accordingly, only to wait until 3 PM without any communication from the staff. They eventually informed me that I would be called when the body was ready for viewing, which was frustrating and inconsiderate. Later on that day, I received a call indicating that I could see my brother before the funeral that morning (February 13, 2026). I made it to the funeral home, but upon arrival, the staff acted like they were unaware of my visit. Damien mentioned that he had waited for me the day before, showing a clear lack of communication and organization within the team. I felt like they were trying cover something up. What’s done in the dark shall come to the light. This experience was heartbreaking during an already difficult time. It's essential for funeral homes to provide clear communication and compassionate service, especially when families are grieving. Unfortunately, my experience at Jackson Memorial was anything but professional. I would not recommend this establishment based on my experience.

Jackson Memorial took such great care of my husband, Minister Christopher D. Coleman. Damian was amazing, he did not try to “up sell” me, he asked what I wanted and showed me my options. Velma literally held my hand through the whole process. You feel the compassion from every member of staff the moment you step through the door!

Jackson memorial was great 10’s across the board. So professional great attention to detail. They treated my family with so much respect. It was a great relief and weight off our shoulders knowing Jackson memorial had out back and was taking care of us as if we were family.

It's a blessing to have a place like Jackson Memorial to lean on. My mom passed in Houston, Tx and Damian told us not to worry they will take care of everything and make sure our mom get to Jackson. He did just that! Throughout the entire process he was a true professional. Thank you Damian for being the caring and compassionate person that you are. Lasure and Julia, thank you for ALL the many things you did while preparing our mom for her service. She was so beautiful when you finished with her. Mr. Owens, thank you for the great advice you gave our family concerning the service. Thank you again for  the conversations we had while riding in the family car. You were always a joy to be around. I hope I'm not in need of Jackson Memorial services anytime soon, but it's good to know you're there if I am. Thank you all again. God bless!
