I want to take a moment to thank the incredible team at Parkway Assisted Living for going above and beyond during a recent resident placement from California.
A special thank you to Steve Soiferman (Director of Sales & Marketing), Marshal Ahumada (Wellness Director), and Ryan Little (Executive Director). Each of them was professional, compassionate, and truly supportive not only to me, but to the entire family during what can be a very emotional transition.
The apartment was beautiful and spacious, and the team truly rolled out the red carpet to make this family feel welcomed and, most importantly, at home. Their level of care, attention, and kindness did not go unnoticed.
If you are looking for a caring, positive, and supportive environment for your loved one, I highly recommend Parkway Assisted Living. The community and staff provide exceptional care and genuinely make a difference in people's lives. Amore Hospice Care and myself are excited to work with you again!

A great big shout out to Director Tyler Little in assisting us from the first tour to the final move in day for our dear friend. I believe Tyler’s stellar communication and attention to detail defines him as instrumental in making the transition go smoothly. He is remarkably attentive at many levels from the facility’s appearance and organization to the comfort and safety of the residents. Tyler and his professional team exceeded our expectations and standards for our dear friend’s new home at Parkway Assisted Living. Thank you, Parkway!

had the displeasure of touring this facility, which was led by someone identifying himself as the “owner,” Tyler. I want to be very clear—this individual has no apparent healthcare background, and it showed immediately. In an assisted living setting, that is not just concerning—it’s unsafe.
Tyler was unable to answer even basic questions about staff qualifications, licensing, or clinical oversight. As someone considering placing a loved one in this environment, those are non-negotiable topics. If leadership cannot speak confidently about the credentials of the people providing care, that raises serious concerns about resident safety and regulatory compliance.
Instead of demonstrating knowledge or accountability, he was focused on presentation and sales. That is completely inappropriate for a facility responsible for the care of vulnerable seniors. Assisted living is not just real estate—it is healthcare-adjacent, and it requires informed, competent leadership.
To be fair, the staff I encountered were polite, professional, and the facility itself appeared clean and well-maintained. That reflects positively on the frontline team and maintenance. However, strong hourly staff does not compensate for poor leadership.
Having someone without healthcare knowledge or credentials in a position of authority—especially one responsible for tours, representation, and potentially operational oversight—is deeply concerning. It calls into question the standards and integrity of Parkway’s leadership and hiring practices.
Families are being asked to entrust their loved ones—and pay a significant cost—for care and safety. That trust cannot be supported under leadership that lacks even a basic understanding of healthcare operations.
