Rich Taste catered our daughter’s wedding this past Saturday at Ivory Meadows. The food was so delicious and the staff was so professional and courteous! They were easily able to accommodate the dietary restrictions of the bride and a few guests. The extra meals for the bride and groom were a nice touch and very appreciated. We highly recommend!!

Rich Taste Catering was unfortunately the most disappointing part of our wedding. This was especially surprising given their strong reviews and how great everything was during our tasting. I will say, as a positive, that communication during the planning process was easy and they were consistently responsive. Starting with the bar service, we ran into multiple issues. The bride’s signature drink was an espresso martini, and despite providing a full ingredient list and preparation instructions, it took three attempts for the bartending team to make it correctly. The first version was served on ice and not shaken, which is not how the drink is prepared, and it was honestly embarrassing to present that to the bride. There were additional issues behind the bar. A guest requested a dirty martini and was told it could not be made. While this was not a pre-specified drink, it is a very standard cocktail. In another instance, the bride requested a specific lime High Noon that had been purchased for the wedding, and instead of retrieving it from another bar, the staff told her she would need to go get it herself in her dress and heels. That level of service was disappointing. We also noticed poor inventory handling, with bartenders opening multiple boxes of the same beer instead of finishing one at a time, which made returns difficult. Several guests commented that the bartenders seemed inattentive and inexperienced. The food was equally disappointing compared to the tasting. The asparagus, which had been crisp and well-prepared at the tasting, was soggy and overcooked on the wedding day. The spring rolls, which had previously been fresh and crisp, were limp and appeared to have been prepared far in advance. The dipping sauce was provided in a communal container without any way to serve it individually, making it essentially unusable. We had arranged for a private dinner, but when we arrived, our meals were not ready. Service interruptions during that time disrupted what should have been a quiet moment. Additionally, I was served multiple entrees instead of just the one I ordered, which cluttered the table unnecessarily. The bride’s meal was also completely different from what she had selected at the tasting. Meal service for guests was also poorly handled. Tables were served strictly in numerical order, which resulted in the groom’s family being served significantly later than the bride’s family. When this was brought to the staff’s attention, they incorrectly stated that this was how we had requested it. This was not accurate. There were also instances of incorrect meals being served, followed by staff being argumentative with guests before correcting the mistake. While small on their own, details like providing regular butter instead of the requested garlic butter added to the overall impression of a lack of attention to detail. Overall, the experience we had on our wedding day was completely inconsistent with what we were shown during the tasting. It felt like a different team entirely. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this catering service. I do hope they are able to improve and return to the standard that earned them their earlier positive reviews.

I have never worked with a catering company before, and now I don't think I would ever not work with one. Rich Taste took all the work out of planning our event. They came along side us and made our event shine! From the little details of napkin color to the bigger details of serving donors, Rich Taste exceeded all expectations. Our guests still talk about the amazing food they had at the event.

Rich Taste catered our wedding recently and we were very pleased with the experience of working with them! From the out of state planning, our multiple requests, day of chaos and most importantly, the food - everything was better than expected! For our cocktail hour, we had a mix of app table + passed apps and drinks (which people loved!). During the reception, multiple people came up to me and commented how good the food was! I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event in the Dayton area.

We recently used Rich Taste Catering for a family repast, and they were absolutely wonderful. The quality of the food was 10/10, the quantity was 10/10, and the customer service was truly stellar. Communication was seamless from start to finish, and every detail was handled with care and professionalism. Everything they did was top notch. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity, and we would highly recommend Rich Taste Catering to anyone. We will definitely be using them again.
