Bluegrass Hospice Care at UK Healthcare

I would never ever tell someone to use this company. I have many complaints. 1) they are not 24 hrs a day. U call they will tell u they will call back wjen they have a available nurse. 2) multiple times my husband was in pain restless and not comfortable. He wpuld scream out and would not be in peace. I complained many times that he couldn't swallow they had him on the lowest dose of morphine liquid. I told them he said it burned hes mouth and they ignored it. And few days before he pasted on may 22nd 2026 I told them he coukd t swallow no more so they said they still needed him to poop but put low dose of methadone up hes butt but he wpukd poop out meds. And u cant give him another one cause they do a count. They care more abput that then checking on the client. They wanna see the meds. Which I understand. But I told the nurse about 2 weeks before hes passing I feel that patches wpuld do him better and maybe a shot for restlessness or something. But they wouldn't listen they wouldnt up hes meds. The night I talked to the nurse I told her I didnt feel he was comfortable or felt at peace and I had a bad feeling but she didnt make it a priority. And I got up at 6or 7 and my husband died. And hes face haunts me hes face looked like he died in pain. It was terrible. Again he screamed out the whole day" OH MY GOD. very loud. That was all he could say. The chaplain called me like 3 weeks after I told her and she made a excuse that anger is apart of grief. Not a apology that my husband died not in peace. Ive never got anyome to call and ask if we needed therapy so they say they offer. There the worst. Also one person that gave my husband a bath she acted like she never given a bath to male before. So I stopped them from doing that I decided to do that. They dont tell u wjen there coming. I have no respect for this company.

Worst place I have seen I wouldn't want to be put on hospice myself and I sure wouldn't have chosen this for a loved one if it was my choice My fiancees daughter chose hospice for him and I stayed the entire process with him I am four hours away from home and was given my suitcase and put out in the lobby waiting area at two o'clock in the morning when he passed away and I had to sit out there till I found someone to come and pick me up. We wasn't from the area so I set out there with my bags and suitcase for almost nine hours. So believe me when I say this place isnt right to begin with and it's definitely not for a loved one Please explore all your options first.

My family had a great experience with this facility. They took wonderful care of our loved one and went above and beyond to make sure our family had everything we needed during our stay. I would recommend it to anyone in need of hospice care.

They truly care about the patient and especially the family.
