I loved my therapist, but Thriveworks has a very rigid cancellation policy with absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS. I was auto rescheduled and received a text reminder on a Friday. I logged into my originally scheduled appointment on Monday morning and was told I received a reminder text on Friday for the appointment that was rescheduled to Tuesday. I did not agree to this because I already had work commitments I could not cancel the next day. They charged me $130 for that appointment. A manager refused to speak with me regarding the cancellation charge (after leaving me on hold for 23 mins) and ultimately they still charged me. The way they handle appointments and cancellations is unprofessional and for a therapy company, you would think they would have some empathy. Any cancellations with 48 hours is a $130 fee. No exceptions. I love my therapist, but the administrative disaster induces loads of unnessary stress and is not worth it. I hope all the good folks leave this place and start their own company.

Donna Gillette is vile the moment she does not get exactly what she wants. I had the misfortune of having to ask her to wait due to her coming into my place of business with no appointment. Not only did she demand to be seen but when I told her I wasn’t available yet she raised her voice and told me “you’re going to do it now!” While stomping her foot. The entitlement is very loud. I am so disheartened to learn that this disrespectful woman is out here providing mental health services for the general public. Absolutely disgusting.

I am hoping to see a resolve. I was completely ripped off by this place! There is NO manager to speak to either. They will take your money and NOT TREAT YOU! I need a solution, because I paid $300 for medical help in which I never received.

I recently left a review about an appointment that was made by my college son looking for a primary care doctor. Thrive works send an email to which my son responded and basically they just said they are not removing the $135 no-show fee. They said because it was not canceled within 48 hours, however, the appointment was made within 48 hours, so there was no way to cancel it within the allotted timeframe. On top of that, they sent an email confirming the appointment to which they did not get any confirmation or response Most physician offices would then try to make an attempt to call the patient, this was never done, so the appointment was never even confirmed. On top of these terrible business practices there is no way to reach someone locally, if you need help and make a phone call to this company you will be patched to someone who is in a different country. I hope that these negative reviews help new patients understand this is not the quality of care that you sign up with insurance to get, and it’s actually quite frustrating and disheartening. They will not remove the $135 fee which is actually really sad at the end of the day because it was a college student trying to find a local primary care physician for allergy treatment and somehow ended up making an appointment with Alice. Alice as a provider should feel terrible at the end of the day, knowing if this is how you make your living by making money on people who accidentally make appointments this is disheartening.

Very poor assistance with the Customer service team , had a Situation happened to me and I had no choice but to cancel the appointment . Was told I still had to pay the cancellation fee even though my situation was out of my hands. Customer service team was very rude and inconsiderate of my situation and how I was feeling in that very moment . Will not be coming back and I do not recommend them at all .
