Trust Counsel, P.L.

I spent over 30K with Trust Counsel to prepare my Estate and Trust documents. Their sales pitch is good and well written but they do not follow what they sell. The timeline took way longer than it says on their website. I had to constantly call and ask about the progress of my Trust to move it along. When I finally got the Trust, it had other names on it. This showed that all they did was copy and paste from another client. When asked about it, their response was that they had an intern do it for experience (at a cost to me of $30k). My biggest issue is that I have constantly call and get no response. I then send email after email to Alejandro and get nothing. He told me over 5 times he would send me a simple email outlining my trust set up to send to my Investment Advisor and Accountant but never sent it. I can't fund the Trust if I don't understand what they sold me. To make things worse, I sent an email to Leslie Marenco complaining about Alejandro's lack of response and got an email back from her saying she was out of the office sick but would get back to me shortly. It has been 2 weeks and she still hasn't helped. I guess the lack of customer service starts at the top and employees all follow. I could give many more examples of lack of service if I wanted to write several pages. I gave them 2 stars because the documents could be good if there wasn't a lack of follow up after they send them to you. They are quick to send you an invoice but afterwards seem to not care about their clients, even the ones crying out for a response. Update 2/13/26. I finally got a call back from someone at Trust Council to address my concerns. Eric Fung was the attorney and he was able to very easily and quickly address my concerns, make changes to my Trust and outline any processes that I needed to know. I am not sure why it was so hard to have someone respond but I would deal with Eric again and would recommend anyone looking for a Trust to ask for Eric Specifically. Overall, it was still very frustrating to get the attention of having someone do simple tasks but in the end, Eric got it done.

My family and I had a fantastic experience, dealing with Trust Counsel. We had to endure a very lengthy probate case, involving a criminal neighbor, elder abuse, and fraud, and my deceased uncle. It was truly the kind of situation that gives you nightmares.We filed a lawsuit against the criminal neighbor, in 2020, with a different law firm. We liked our original lawyer very much, but our case went on for so long, that he needed to retire. He helped us to find Alex Gonzalez, at Trust Counsel, and we are eternally grateful. There had been so much that transpired in the first 3 1/2 years, that we spent with our first lawyer, in and out of court, hundreds of findings, and an unbelievable amount of paperwork, information, etc. Alex was able to seamlessly pick up, where our first lawyer had left off. He caught up quickly, got to know us very well, and made it his personal challenge to end the nightmare of our probate case, once and for all. While it was not easy, and this lawsuit was truly the horrible gift that kept on giving, Alex, with the assistance of Jonathan, was able to finally put the entire thing to bed. We are so grateful to have had Alex, and his team on our side.
