I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for Sarah Elkassabani at the Knoxville Islamic Center. During the difficult time following my ex-husband Moayad Musin’s passing, Sarah showed extraordinary kindness, compassion, and sincerity that I will never forget. From the moment she became involved, she was thoughtful, responsive, and deeply caring. She took the initiative to make calls, ask important questions, and advocate for Moayad to be treated with dignity and respect. What stood out most was not only what she did, but the genuine care and concern behind every action. Her kindness brought comfort during a very painful time and for that I will always be grateful. Shukran Sarah, Donna Musin

Tuesday 17th, 8pm: called to see about Ramadan if tomorrow or not, Stephanie answered very rude and has no idea what I am talking about. The most known event nowadays and she did not even know. Wednesday 18th, 4am: called again to ask if today is Ramadan , the lady on the phone said not SURE. What kind of mosque are you? Don’t provide information to the community , not sure if we start the holly month. Shame of you.

The masjid was open when we got there. It's clean stop for travelers, easy access to highway. Parking is available next to the masjid on a small parking space.

Wow, what an incredible surprise we stumbled upon while driving through Knoxville, Tennessee on a Friday close to Jummah time! A hidden gem of a masjid, conveniently located off the expressway, drew us in for a memorable experience. The Jummah sermon delivered by Shaikh Rafiq was nothing short of awe-inspiring. He touched upon the Islamic new year 1445 and emphasized the importance of setting meaningful new year resolutions. The beautiful reminders left a lasting impact on us, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the welcoming and friendly Shaikh. The masjid itself was a small and cozy space, yet it managed to accommodate a full congregation without feeling overheated, despite the 90-degree temperature outside. The cleanliness and fresh ambiance added to the serenity of the place, making it truly comfortable for everyone present. After Jummah, we had the pleasure of socializing with the congregation, who were exceptionally warm and hospitable. Meeting Shaikh Rafiq personally was a delightful experience, and he even promised to notify us when he visits our city. The masjid's future plans for expansion were evident from the few signs requesting donations. As an officially approved 501C charitable organization, contributing to their noble cause felt immensely rewarding, knowing we were contributing to the building of a house of Allah SWT. Without a doubt, this masjid has secured a permanent spot in our GPS as a favorite stop whenever we're in the area. The sense of community and the heartfelt hospitality left a lasting impression on us, and we wholeheartedly appreciate everyone's efforts in making this place so welcoming. May it continue to flourish and serve as a source of inspiration and connection for all who visit.
