Heartland Hospice

My husband is receiving exceptional care by Jenna Christiansen, RN and Rebekah Archie,CNA. Together they provide excellent clinical expertise, attention to detail & gentle compassionate care. Our concerns are always addressed promptly, while also offering emotional support and guidance to our family. They are truly Heartland Hospice rockstars!

I do not know where to begin to write this review of Heartland hospice. From beginning with Marilyn to the last day of my Moms life with Jenna, Brianna, Rebecca, all the staff and especially Shelly these beautiful souls are so caring when you are losing a parent. My Mom was 100 almost 101. She was just awesome and was active up until a few months before her passing. She had many falls so we decided to get hospice for her for extra help at the facility she resided in. It was the best move. The care and support that Heartland offered was above and beyond. My Mom was always comfortable with the girls she called them. They made her feel very special with all the attention they gave. Rightly so as she was very special and deserved the best. They certainly filled that request. Every one of them is so special and I am forever grateful for them and helping me as well as my Mom. I Love you all at Heartland hospice. Thank you for your kindness through this difficult time of losing Mom.

Heartland Hospice is a wonderful organization. They have made my mother and family comfortable and given us so much relief, since day one. It’s relieving to know someone is supporting you and your loved one. The organization has so many resources and they are utilized, explained and available to whatever extent you want to use them. Our recent nurse Jenna has been outstanding. The communication has been excellent, and she always keeps us posted after each visit. She has been with us every step of the way, helping my mom get medical supplies needed and recommending products and ideas that we would not have considered. Jenna is very experienced and has a wonderful personality. She has an ability to understand patients and make them very comfortable. She’s been able to use such a great sense of humor as well, cheering my mother up when needed, and knowing her well. That ability to truly know her has helped makes things easier for me because she just “gets” my mom. My mother was taken out of hospice for now as she is doing better. She misses Jenna and the companionship/friendship they made. Jenna is a gem! Thank you! If my mother goes back into hospice, I pray we will have Jenna again. Thank you!

I am under Hospice care. Overall, been real pleased with the care and support I am being given. La Tonya, Carrie, Carlos are just plain outstanding in their job. I have tried two other Hospice groups here in Newport News and Hampton. Didn't stay with them long because of the quality of Heartland. I failed to mention that there are other employees who visit me and they each are wonderful folks. My wife also is very pleased with Heartland because they always check with and talk with her. If faced with a situation where you or a loved one needs Hospice, you will not go wrong picking Heartland.

My mother and father are being cared for under Heartland Hospice and we are so fortunate we signed with them. The nurses, CNAs, social workers and clergy members are the best in the business. Katelyn, Carrie and Rebecca are the three I see most often - they are just incredible in the care, love and compassion they show mom and dad. They are there when we need them - and my mom and dad love them - mom's face lights up when one of them comes into their room. Mom has had so many medical issues - and they have stayed on top of every one. I highly recommend Heartland for your loved one's hospice care. They all are amazing
