Bristol Hospice - Madison

Bristol Hospice provided excellent support and comfort to our dad at the end of life as well as to the rest of our family. We are so thankful for their services and helping us see my dad through peacefully.

Bristol Hospice was an excellent decision in helping to bring my husband home safely. The RN's and CNA's were compassionate, kind, understanding, supportive and so helpful in his last days. Special thanks to Kayla, his RN, who went above and beyond to ensure his comfort. They truly became a part of our family in a short time. God bless the team that kept him comfortable and home with me. I will be forever grateful 🙏

My dad was placed into hospice care. He was very anxious about having no pain while he transitioned. His care team reassured him he would have the meds to make that happen and not to worry. For some reason, the hospice nurse made a mistake for 3 days where dad did not receive his pain meds and he DID suffer. I was calling the nurse from another state until I could get there. She would reasurre me that she would visit my dad first thing in the morning but when we reviewed her tine sheets, she never saw him until 3pm if at all. The nursing home released the nurse from working there again but hospice failed my dad and his family who had to witness this . The nurse was lying to us and blaming the nursing home when it was her failure in doing her job that made dad suffer. As his daughter, I feel awful for my dad as he wanted a pain free end. The rest of the staff was amazing and so loving but the one person we really needed failed us 💔

Bristol took care of my father in law for the last little while of his life and they were amazing! (They travel to Beaver Dam by the way) I will probably miss someone or get their name wrong so I am sorry already. From Haylee the liaison and Melissa the admission nurse who were amazing representatives with compassion and patience and making sure Dennis got home from the hospital as quickly as possible. To the tuck-in night nurse, he helped us get set up and Dennis comfortable. Then Angie, our case manager nurse, and the weekend nurse Kayla, they were true angels. They worked with the CNAs Kim and Julie who were amazing too. They would come in and be so gentle in cleaning him up, teaching us how to position and make him more comfortable. Julie even gave him a shave and made him look so handsome. Both Angie and Kayla spent so much time communicating with us and checking in. Kayla stayed with us for the last hours he was in the home, and she felt like part of the family. Everyone was so loving. And I don't want to forget to shout out the chaplain GiGi that came out on a Sunday night to pray over Dennis and the family. Giving us special memories we will hold forever. There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am to Bristol Hospice's team of caring professionals. Even the nurse that did the triage answering calls at night was so caring. Lexi our RN was phenomenal! She answered all of our questions and was always there when we needed her. I think our CNA was Jason. He was great we just didn’t have much time with him. I think he only came 3 times. We felt very supported by Bristol and when we has a question in the middle of the night we would call and they where so helpful. We always felt better when we got off the phone with them.
