Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery

This place is a joke. My grandmother is buried right when you start to "see" Graves you really cant see them because they are covered in mud, weeds, and grass clippings. Every so offered i go out and almost feel like im unburing headstones. They are in the mostly all flat stone area on the right hand side. Im about to start going and clean up random people I dont know because I feel so bad for them. Its also the part my great grandparents and uncle are as well. Why have people spend all this money for their final resting place when the place dont care. 18 years of this. U

Today I visited 6 family members headstones - ALL were completely overgrown with weeds. Took 15 minutes to find my mother’s! Absolutely deplorable and disrespectful! I spent another 45 minutes clearing all our stones. Hillcrest Westlawn states on their website that maintaining the property is a priority? What a joke! They should be ashamed of the condition the grounds are in. I visited three sections and one was worse than the next!

I frequently visit my folks and relatives especially my parents who have been gone for years and yesterday during my visit I find in disgust their flower vase was stolen 🤬 Apparently this is a common problem which I never gave a thought of until now. I don’t plan on getting another one because they are too expensive and West lawn will not take responsibility. I am guessing Westlawn knows of these thefts but made no attempt to put out any word.

If you care about your loved ones then do not decide to lay them to rest here. They do not care about you or your family. For 7 months I waited for my mother’s headstone, had Mother’s Day with a spot of dirt on the ground. After over 10 phone calls I finally got an answer to where her headstone was and they forgot to ordered it. After 13 thousand dollars spent and 7 months of waiting. That shows you how much they care.

19 years ago, my father bought some three plots in myself one. My father chose this area because of the beautiful grass and trees along the roadside. Since my parents passed away and were buried there, they have let the property totally go to weeds. I have gone as far as spraying weeds and fertilizing And they continue to let it go. Approximately eight years ago under new management, they had it all tilled up and put new sod and watered it and it looked beautiful. New management came in shortly and let it go. Every spring I have to go out there and search for the headstones because they are covered with overgrown vine weeds recently September 19 of 2023 I laid to rest my brother in the same plot area, and they never even so much put down, the green product to trying get the grass to grow. As of today all of the weeds are coming back through. The whole area is nothing but dirt and weeds. I have made numerous phone calls and have gone into the office numerous times and all they do is write it up , tell me that they’re going to call me and we’re gonna get it taken care of and that is as far as it goes. Many phone calls that are never returned. My brothers stone Is ready to be installed, but the ground was supposed to be taken care of before hand and is still not done. We paid thousands of dollars for this and it is supposed to be Maintained by the cemetery. Update 8-6-2024 The ground was let go again and not tended to. I spent two hours pulling weeds $35 for weed killer. I was supposed to be notified by the monument company before they delivered the stone and was not notified and found the stone to be set on This date. The area looks horrible. The stone is full of dirt. Nothing has been done to try and clean this area up after they put the new dirt in and seeded it. There was no watering. We had some rain, but all that did was make the big weeds grow.
