Based on my personal experience, I would strongly caution people to stay away from this church. I found the environment pushy, defensive, and more focused on keeping people around than actually helping someone grow in faith in a healthy way. When I raised concerns, I felt dismissed rather than heard.
Separate from my own experience, this church’s broader organization has also been the subject of serious public scrutiny. The Fayetteville location was part of an FBI raid in 2022, and in 2025 federal prosecutors announced an indictment against members of House of Prayer Christian Churches of America alleging fraud schemes involving military members and veterans. People can read that reporting and make up their own minds, but for me, between what I personally experienced and what is publicly documented, I would not recommend this church.

Don’t know if this place is still there, but I want to warn folks not to go here. I went a few times back in 2015 when I was a new soldier at Ft Bragg. They target places for recruiting young new soldiers. I only went more than once because I was interested in why the young men I went with were living in the building behind the church. Talking to a group of them one night I realized that they believed they had to seclude themselves from the outside world. Trying to challenge them proved futile, so I made sure never to go back.
They found my barracks room!! And one of the guys kept coming to my room until I got verbally aggressive with him. I witnessed the pastor personally insult some of those guys. He gave me the most uneasy feeling. Please anyone considering going to this Church please don’t, they will try to keep you there with whatever social leverage they have on you.

This place was absolutely terrifying and twisted. One of the biggest uneasy feelings I have ever felt. As soon as you walk in, they are divided. Women sit on one side, men sit on another, and couples have their own spot. The lady that invited me forced me to go to the alter and made me kneel at the alter. Afterward when I didn’t want to go anymore, they found where I lived (don’t know how), and knocked on my door asking for me. When I didn’t answer they went to my neighbors and asked if they seen me around. Most creepy experience I have ever been through. DO NOT GO HERE! IT IS A CULT!

I miss my church. This church has saved me in many ways, by bringing me closer to God and bringing people in my life who truly care about me. This church will keep you busy, and will make sure you keep your focus on the Lord during every moment in your life. There is bible study, Q&A, prayer hour, and services. Everyday there is something to keep your faith strong. Military friendly and children friendly. My daughter loved coming here. I will never find a church like this one :(.
