Mashallah. As a visitor and traveler, I was warmly welcomed to this mosque by two wonderful volunteer ladies. They were both incredibly kind and friendly—one of them even offered me her own food, which truly touched my heart.
This is a community deeply rooted in faith. Their imam is truly remarkable; I witnessed him moved to tears during the Taraweeh prayer, which spoke volumes about the sincerity and spiritual depth present here. The number of believers attending during Ramadan was truly inspiring.
There is a strong sense of peace and safety within this mosque. I genuinely felt it from the moment I arrived. I believe I was divinely guided to this place. It reminded me that God tests us through one another—and that we should never judge people by outward appearances. This community clearly reflects righteousness and compassion.
May God continue to bless the righteous members of this community, their devoted imam, and all those who support and sustain this center.
⚠️⚠️ I attended the early morning prayer from 3:00 to 5 AM on March 19, and I feel compelled to share an important reflection.
While I deeply respect the intention behind leading prayer, this particular prayer was unnecessarily prolonged to the point of causing real physical discomfort. I am a healthy individual, yet I experienced strain, especially during sujood (prostration), where the extended duration led to difficulty breathing and a sense of physical distress. I can only imagine how elderly or ill members of the congregation may have felt in that moment.
In Islam, the quality and sincerity of prayer are what matter most—not its length. Our faith emphasizes ease and consideration for others. As stated in the Qur’an: “Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship” (2:185), and “He has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty” (22:78).
Likewise, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised: “When any one of you leads the people in prayer, let him make it light, for among them are the weak, the sick, and those with needs” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim). He also said: “Make things easy and do not make them difficult.”
God is calling you to repentance and correction in regard to this. God sees everything.
Prayer shouldn't cause us suffering but a relief!

The people were warm and welcoming, even with a non-Muslim like me. The place felt serene and looked well-maintained, especially their bathrooms!!! I couldn't stress the bathrooms enough. Never have I seen bidets in this country until I visited a masjid. Muslims value cleanliness not just mentally and spiritually, but physically too, and I believe that says a lot about the community. I hope more people stay open-minded, learn about what Islam truly is, and live life with respect and understanding 😊

We had a beautiful experience visiting the Islamic Center of Tulsa. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The mosque is clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. The prayer area is spacious, and the atmosphere truly helps one feel connected and focused in worship.
What stood out most was the hospitality of the community members — they were friendly and eager to help, whether it was providing directions or sharing information about prayer times and upcoming events. The Friday khutbah was insightful and delivered in a way that was easy to understand and connect with daily life.
Overall, it’s a wonderful place for both residents and visitors to stop by for prayers and spiritual peace. May Allah bless the community and everyone involved in maintaining such a welcoming environment.
