My dad was only on service for a short time but hospice was extremely helpful during a difficult time. A special thank you to Kailey who went above and beyond. She was very comforting and coordinated care from the hospital to our home. She took the time to answer all our questions and was even available on evenings and weekends. She made sure we had everything we needed to get my dad home. I highly recommend Heartland Hospice.

Such an amazing service & operation you all have! All equipment, supplies, nursing & social services were delivered & picked up within hours of our needs before, during & after our father’s final, peaceful passing. We are eternally grateful & blessed for all you did for him & us! You are truly angels on earth where we need you the most! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Kailey, Jasmine, Brianna & AdvaCare from me, my 3 siblings & our dad!!!❤️ God bless you all!

I hate leaving a negative review, but I would not recommend Heartland Hospice under any circumstances. The level of negligence I’ve experienced in caring for my loved one is absolutely disgraceful. She has gone five times without receiving her medications, sometimes for up to five days at a time, despite being assured that they would be delivered.
To make matters worse, the executive director has blatantly lied to me about the situation, repeatedly claiming that nurses have been out to see her and that necessary paperwork has been filed. These lies have only added to the frustration and further damaged my trust in their ability to provide care.
The healthcare team at the facility where she resides has expressed their concerns, stating that this is the worst hospice service they’ve ever encountered. It is deeply troubling that something as basic as timely medication delivery has been mishandled.
One of the most concerning issues is the failure to deliver critical blood pressure medication, which can have life-threatening consequences. The serious health implications of inconsistent blood pressure management, especially for someone in their 90s, cannot be overstated. The risks of strokes, heart attacks, and other severe complications are significantly increased by missed doses, and Heartland’s negligence is putting my loved one’s life at risk.
I have had to spend countless hours ensuring my loved one receives the medication she needs—something that should be routine for any hospice provider. The stress this has caused and the risks it poses to her health are completely unacceptable.
While I am in the process of transitioning her to a new hospice provider, Heartland is still responsible for her care, and their failure to meet basic standards of service is putting her well-being in jeopardy. I strongly urge others to carefully consider their options before choosing this hospice provider.

The team at Heartland provided great care. Everyone we worked with made us feel very supported. I can't thank Kailey enough for meeting with our family and explaining hospice. She was very compassionate and professional. Highly recommend.

Sadly, I write this review so others dont have to deal with what we did. My father passed away under this hospice company. We wanted him at home and comfortable and that was the most important thing. Jill was our initial rep and she said we would be 100% supported by a team of hospice staff visiting a few times a week and more if needed. To make a long story short -- they dropped the ball everywhere possible. No return calls after multiple attempts reaching out to them. People showing up in our driveway to bathe my dad with no call or prior warning. If you are caring for a loved one you know how challenging this is. Nurses coming on the wrong day. Techs not showing up at all. They even neglected to count my dads pills and we RAN OUT of his medication. I will say the actual people who showed up were fantastic. Sam, our nurse, was wonderful and very caring. But the implementation of the services is HORRIBLE. God forbid we end up in this situation with another relative, we will not be using them. It is also worth noting the good reviews are under Heartland -- they are now owned by ProMedica. I wish we would have noticed the good reviews belong to a different company.
