This hospice team was absolutely amazing. They were responsive, attentive, and truly cared about our loved one’s comfort and our family’s emotional well-being. Communication was clear, and they were always just a phone call away. I cannot recommend them enough.

The care and compassion we received were beyond anything we could have hoped for. Every nurse, aide, and staff member treated our family with dignity, kindness, and genuine love. They made an incredibly difficult time feel peaceful and supported. We will forever be grateful for the comfort and respect they showed our loved one.

Please save yourself & your family members time & stress & do not place your family with heartland hospice . My father was placed with heartland hospice on July 3rd , 2025 . My father passed away August 25th ,2025 , within the month and half my father was placed on hospice . This company did not do a good job. From the start they was not trying to order my father more then one week worth of supplies . With them not wanting to order more then a week worth of supplies , it lead to my mother stressing out multiple times because she then had to order my father supplies out of pocket because this company was too worried about saving money then to make sure my dad had all the supplies he needed and more . Another reason I would not choose this company is because they do not care for their patients, they care about getting paid . My father was fighting throat cancer & had to get his voice box removed . When he got his voice box removed he then grew a tumor on the outside of his neck , one morning my father started picking at the tumor causing it to bleed . I sat and watched my mother have a panic attack because of all the blood and the fear of the blood going down into his lungs , at this time I watched my mother call the after hours hotline & beg someone to get a hold of any nurse who could come help because when your loved ones are placed on hospice they don’t want you to call 911 anymore they want you to call the hospice people . My mother called the outline , they did not do anything to comfort or help my mother stop panicking. It took 45- minutes to an hour just for them to get a hold of a nurse . Then the nurse called and said “ it’s going to be another 30 minutes “ all while my father is bleeding everywhere & my mother is having a panic attack . Once the nurse arrived she did not comfort my mother , her exact words were “ well we can’t really do anything about it beside bandage it up “ so I sat & watched my mother have a panic attack & my father bleed & have his tumor hanging off & the nurse had the audacity to come & just tell us there isn’t really anything she can do . This company is a waste of time . We have had the nurse call and ask my mother if they should even bother to come check on my dad , but isn’t that your job & what you get paid for ? We have had nurses from heartland tell my mom that she’s pretty much the best my dad is going to get . This company is a fraud and only care about money . They will not care about your loved ones . Please please please , save yourself & your loved ones from this company . Do not place your loved ones with their hospice care !!!

If I could give this organization a zero stars I would. They gave horrible care to my aunt. She was in their care for six days where the family had no assistance other than stopping in here and there but giving little advice on how to take care of her. She was not given stool softeners and became impacted from the medicine. There was no support to help clean her up or change her. She also developed bed sores that they never addressed. She went from walking the first couple days to not responding. She transitioned to another hospice group that has made her so much more comfortable. She is now more alert, started smiling again, and seems much more comfortable. I have unfortunately experienced hospice with multiple family members in home and in facilities throughout the years and would say that there are far better groups to go with.
