Loosing a loved one is NEVER easy, no matter the circumstances. Dawn at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens deserves Angel Wings. She showed genuine respect, caring, listening to my stories, offering suggestions, and went out of her way to help with the little details that made our celebration of life run smoothly. Dawn’s attention to those small details, and excellent communication, made this process much easier on our family. Thank you Dawn, thank you Mt Vernon Memorial Gardens 💝.

My wife Geri and I recently decided it was time to make our final arrangements for our passing. We talked with Dawn Barnes, a family service advisor at Roberts Funeral Home on Coshocton Ave. Mount Vernon, Ohio. Dawn is a caring, knowlegable service advisor who was more interested in taking care of my wife and I than making a sale. She worked with us and came up with a plan for us that was reasonably priced and met our wishes. Dawn was professional yet talked to us, and treated us, as though we were family. The whole experience put us at ease. Preparing for your death can be stressful, people like Dawn Barnes at Roberts Funeral Home made it tolerable.

I worked with Dawn Barnes on my final arrangements. Dawn was compassionate and very helpful, making an unpleasant circumstance very comfortable. In fact, everyone I came in contact with has been very pleasant and helpful.

Mr. David Phillips is wonderful! My family had a memorial tree placed near my father's grave in 1964. Unfortunately, the tree had to be removed due to disease and my family members were distraught. I live in Florida and could not travel back and forth to Ohio. My family members wanted a new memorial tree for our Dad. Mr. Phillips went out of his way to help us find a replacement maple tree (my father was born in Canada and the maple leaf is their symbol) supervising its planting, and going so far as to assure that it was receiving adequate water during the hot and dry Ohio summer and that it was protected from damage by the landscapers. He sent me pictures so that I could see the tree was thriving. Mr. Phillips is a caring person with empathy and loads of kindness. My family appreciates his efforts. Thank you, David Phillips.

We, myself and my siblings, were very pleased with the caring attitude and attentiveness that Dawn Barnes showed and shared with us when we placed the remains of our eldest sister with my father and mother. My brother said Dawn was very sweet. The services provided for us were greatly appreciated. Thanks Dawn
