American Monument

My father is buried at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery. My mother and I never got around to placing a marker. I reached out to american monument, Angela was patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. They designed exactly what we wanted and it met the cemeterys requirements. This is an emotional purchase but american monument presented a caring atmosphere and i recommend

This company made a bench for my son in 2013. This was not cheap but they did an amazing job. For the last 5 years the whole look of the bench of the bench hals diminished. It does not look like the bench we purchased. I called the office Several times and spoke directly to the owner Elvis. He assured me that he would go out to the cemetery to see what it is I was talking about. It is faded. The writing on the bench that was schetched in black no longer has color. It is stained. It is dull. It does not look like the bench we purchased. Elvis never went out to see the bench or ever emailed, called it text me back. This is my only son…I am so disappointed as I see benches around his that were there for 15-20 years longer than his still looking vibrant. I hope that this company would get back with me and fix the bench to look like the way it did when we purchased it which was not cheap.

I tried working with them for over a month and nearly a dozen phone calls to no avail. After an initial great call, I heard nothing back for a month. When I followed up I was told I would get a call back, proofs and an invoice. No call but just a paypal invoice with zero details and no proof. I'm not able to deliver the headstone myself, so I asked for some help in arranging delivery and prices. Got the runaround for three days before I decided to call it quits. Maybe they are overloaded, maybe they are unprofessional, either way I would avoid.

American Monument Co. helped us through an incredibly difficult time. We had to get a headstone for our two daughters and had been putting it off for a very long time. We already had a headstone for one of the girls but had to get a new one to include both girls. This meant we had to get twice the information and design layout on the same sized headstone. Julee and Alvis at American Monument were absolutely wonderful to work with! They worked diligently with us and listened to exactly everything we wanted. They were very patient through many design changes and input from different family members. Julee was so very helpful and caring and did everything to make sure we got the headstone installed by the date we had in mind. She has a heart of gold! Alvis did additional work on the layout to make sure it was just perfect. Both of them did everything in their power to make a very trying time as peaceful as possible. We can't speak highly enough of our experience with them and are so happy we went directly through American Monument rather than going through the cemetery. Many people don't realize that they can save a lot of money by working directly with the monument company. The ceramic photos alone were about half the price that the cemetery was going to charge us. We also wanted very specific designs and, by going directly with them, we got exactly what we wanted and the headstone is the perfect tribute to our beautiful daughters. Thank you Julee and Alivs!
