I’m very grateful for the support and guidance I’ve received in therapy. Jaime is thoughtful, and genuinely caring. I’ve had a very positive experience and would highly recommend. Thank you, Jaime.

Thank you for your response.
A patient does not need to be formally entered into your system to have a negative experience. The initial point of contact matters.
When I called to schedule an appointment, no one answered and I received a text instead. In healthcare settings, it’s standard and respectful to ask for consent before switching communication methods.
Your website lists my insurance as accepted, yet I was told no providers take it and was immediately offered self-pay. That approach is inappropriate and uncomfortable. A more patient-centered response would be to explain the lack of availability, offer a waitlist, and then mention self-pay as an option—not the first solution.
Most patients rely on insurance and cannot afford out-of-pocket care. My review reflects this experience and is valid feedback.

I have been seeing Jaime for a while now and she is simply the best. She takes the time to listen and really understand what's going on. She is sympathetic and kind. And for her to put up with me she deserves ten stars! I highly recommend her!

Long Island Mental Health Counseling is literally the best practice all around! From the front desk/reception area to the intake to the therapists, they are all so amazing! Especially Amanda!!! I have had different therapist as an adult and she IS THE ONE! She is real, supportive, challenges me and has helped me find and honor my true self. I have made more changes in my life the past year working with her than the last few years in therapy. A good therapist really makes a difference!!!!

I had a really great experience here. Megan has a way of making you feel at ease right away, and she listens in a way that makes you feel understood. Her approach is compassionate but also very logical, which helped me make sense of things I’d been carrying for a while. I left feeling clearer, more grounded, and actually equipped with tools I could use in real life. I’d recommend her to anyone who wants a therapist who genuinely cares and knows how to guide you forward.
