Had an amazing experience with my wife. Stephen greated us like an old friend and made us feel at home. And micheal our waiter was super helpful and polite when it came to the food. They were very attentive and made sure our first visit was a memorable one! I had the lasagna and my wife the beef chipotle wrap and couldn't have been happier or satisfied. Im eagarly looking forward to trying all they have to offer. We definitely found another one of our go to sit downs.

We stopped by City Cafe on a whim and were honestly blown away. The atmosphere, service, and food were all top-notch, and it was a refreshing change of pace for us while visiting McAllen. We loved the Southwest pasta, the guacamole, and the desserts, everything was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and they even went out of their way to make our baby feel welcome, which meant a lot to us. All around a great experience. This is officially our go-to spot whenever we’re in town.

First time visit, I was looking to support a local business and found this gem. I had the fried flounder sandwich and loved it. Bread was soft and toasty . Fish was well seasoned and crispy. Tartar sauce delicious not strong. Potato salad was flavor-full and was a savory balance to go with the sandwich. Will defiantly be coming back. My wife had their fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and she loved it. I tried some of it and it was very good. You can tell that they make a lot of their products in-house. The food tasted fresh and had plenty of good flavor. I had their burger with parmesan truffle fries and it hit the spot. The service was excellent and we were offered free appetizer samples once they heard it was our first time there. We will definitely be coming back.

We stopped by spontaneously to celebrate a friend’s birthday and were so glad we did. The owner Stephen was welcoming. He came right over to greet us with a down to earth vibe and great energy. He even checked in on us throughout the meal, which made us feel like regulars on our first visit. Our waitress was also friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. We ordered the meatloaf, grilled steak medallions, and the chipotle beef wrap. The wrap was so good! I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. The excellent service alone is reason enough to return. Great food, great vibes, and genuine hospitality.
