This place has truly been a God-send for my family. My brother is paralyzed and requires frequent hospitalizations, often being admitted to the hospital every month. Because of the distance from our home, my family has relied heavily on the Ronald McDonald House during these difficult times. We have been staying there for over a year and have never had any issues or complaints. We have always tried to be respectful, responsible, and appreciative of the support provided. Recently, however, we had a very upsetting experience with a manager. She was extremely rude and accused my mother of intentionally keeping a room key for an extra day after my brother had already been discharged from the hospital. In reality, once my brother was discharged, we immediately returned home due to the circumstances, and the key was returned the very next day. There was never any intention to misuse or keep the key improperly. In addition, the manager spoke to my mother in a disrespectful manner while announcing herself as the manager in front of another employee. We had never seen or interacted with her before this situation. She also accused my mother of leaving her children upstairs unattended. However, my mother was already in the kitchen area and was on her way upstairs shortly after the children went up. My 17-year-old sister was already upstairs supervising before the younger children went up as well. At no point were the children abandoned or left in an unsafe situation. After this interaction, a letter was sent to our home stating that our family could not return without prior warning. This felt extremely harsh and unexpected considering the amount of time we have stayed there over the past year without any previous problems or incidents. This place has been critical to helping my family navigate my brother’s ongoing medical challenges, especially during long hospital stays and the difficulty of traveling back and forth from home. We are simply trying to understand why we were treated in such a rude and targeted manner after maintaining a positive relationship with the organization for so long. We sincerely hope this situation can be reviewed fairly and resolved respectfully.

A great place to volunteer with small to large groups. There services are a sense of care for family members who might not otherwise be able to stay with there loved ones while they receive there medical treatment.

Was very helpful to be able to stay here while our child was receiving care. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

I'll keep this short. If you're at RMD house, you probably already are having a hard time. It's the last place staff should escalate an issue. Eileen confronted my 11 year old with autism, non verbal, aggressively for throwing away her recycle bottle mistakenly in the trash. It was beyond belief. She took it out of the trash, visually showing my 11 year old, as she could only be described as charging at her with it. Manager Jerry first doubted the story, which I would too, it's astounding, then shrugged. No resolution. I will be escalating through the director but I wanted to leave this here for other families who can't afford interactions like these.

Nice and roomy, was only there as a visitor , but appears like a great place. I have lots of experience as a Ronald McDonald tenant, but this location cuts the cake.
