Nurse upset for having to travel an hour to take care of a patient! This is not something anyone should have to deal with just because they feel that the drive is too much. If you don’t like the drive then find another job!! Poor experience with CNA in this company.

I have done some work in and around Christus Hospice and Palliative Care. What an amazing group of people, proving daily that it is about the person not the profit. Recently I had a friend that had a need. I had no idea where to direct her, I contacted Lisa with the question and within 45 minutes my friend was in connection with an organization that could meet her need. In Navy terms Bravo Zulu

Lisa and her team display patience, understanding, and empathy to their patients. They are quick to establish care with individuals seeking hospice and palliative care in the coastal bend area.

I am thankful to Sundi for her help and support. She was knowledgeable, compassionate and answered all our questions. My dad was an Inpatient at Christus Spohn ICU and EVERYONE was so great there. We had recently had a bad experience at another Hospital in San Antonio.

My mom has dementia/alzheimers a very slow progressive disease. We were with this hospice company in Corpus for a couple of years and finally got fed up and switched. I am so glad I did, what a difference! But the frustration I endured as my mom's caretaker with this company only mad a stressful situation worse. Every time I reached out for either simple supplies or medication I was made to feel as if we were a bother. I also felt as if they wanted my mother's condition to progress faster than it was. That's not how this disease works! It is unfortunately, a slow dying process. Also, the amount of turnover this company goes through is crazy which is sad since I've seen some extraordinary nurses and LVNs. Before we changed companies the nurses at Christus Hospice were mainly 'traveling nurses' which means they don't stick around nor do they live in the Corpus or surrounding area. I guess this is cheaper for them?? I don't know. It seems when the upper management got replaced (the last time) it got a whole lot worse. Supplies were delayed months or not delivered at all and visits were missed. Many times, I had to buy my mom's supplies with my own money. When I would call the office I was met with rudeness from one person in particular so, I eventually avoided calling the office. The nurses and LVNs however, were always aware but as they would say their "hands were tied". These are just a few examples. The stories get worse but just take my advice and don't go with this company.
