About a year and a half ago, I was reading reviews such as these in hopes of finding a therapist who I could connect with and I am so glad to have met Amanda. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to those who posted such positive experiences prior to me because it changed my life! Amanda is a patient, understanding, knowledgeable, and very intuitive therapist. She has helped me grow, navigate difficult changes, and taught me many practical tools for every day life. I don’t even know where to begin! I began my journey with Beyond Counseling Group practice in May 2020 with Amanda and I wish I had met her sooner! Amanda welcomed me into her practice with open arms. I felt and continue to feel her presence and love in every session. Not only is she a mentor/therapist to me, but someone I confide in and highly respect. She has helped me conquer many obstacles in my life making everything easier to face. One out of many things I love about my journey with Amanda is she’s ALWAYS teaching me new things and our next session is always better than the last! She recently introduced me to hypnotherapy, all I can say is WOW! What an incredible experience... Amanda helped me write my own very detailed story, and then guided me through the hypnosis. I felt, smelt, heard, saw everything from my written story. Not only did the hypnosis feel powerful in the moment but it’s made a difference in my day to day life. About a year ago, I was going through a really hard time in my relationship with my teenage daughter. It happened all of a sudden. I was using old parenting techniques that was no longer working for my 15 year old daughter. Our days composed of a lot of fighting and resentment. We connected instantly and effortless with Amanda.I think her biggest quality is empathy and kindness! My daughter felt like she could talk to Amanda about anything! She was able to bring our personality differences and expectations to a level of true understanding and growth. We became a team in this time and space together; Amanda gave us the tools to communicate, improve our parenting techniques, and accept each other for who we are!
