Catholic Charities RGV

There is a saying that we all speak based on a personal experience. (Cada quien habla segun le vaya). I wanted to donate 2 beds and a living room to the ozanam center and the woman there was disrespectful and never called in a month so I went to offer them to Catholic Charities. The young lady was educated, sweet, nice, I took them good clothes and shoes, the living room and 2 beds. As a Catholic and as a Christian, GOD BLESS THEM for the work they do.

They gave me a appt and I want 2 hours waiting doors locked when it say 2 till 4 don't no why a charity place would do that keep us out !Went next day and I still didn't get help cause a disconnect letter !I honestly felt so ugly when he locked the door just to speak to me and not get help yet gets all my information and then say I can't get help cause a disconnecting letter and tell me I have a lot of funds to help for me to call him from a card he wanted to give me hell no I just wanted to out !Terrible place

Both times I needed help from this place, I never received it. One of the requirements is that you need to have an eviction notice to even get help. The point of reaching out for help is to avoid eviction, not wait until it's too late. I'll never recommend this place

Calling and calling the phone number provided by google no answer just automated system so drove from Harlingen ,Google Maps was a Little off but submitted correct info. Plenty of parking and very respectful & polite woman working as best as they can, even had a lady opening the door for other woman as they walked in and greeting them aswell. So all that we were able to do was get put on a waiting list. Now to wait .👍🏽

Door was locked and didn't get any help. My family is in need of food. Haven't been able to work cuz I was diagnosed with Parkinsons, so I tried going there. But I had to make appointment and lady didn't sound too thrilled to help me. Told the lady I am in need and we don't have food.. and she just apologized and said she would give me a number to call. I called it and same thing. Have to make appointment and wait to qualify.. dont know where else to go!. But if anybody needs help, I don't recommend this place. They not in need.. I am.
