We had our wedding on 10/18/24 and Fresh Chef was a dream to work with. We were originally scheduled to have our wedding at the Art Factory and booked with Fresh Chef to do the catering. From the moment we booked Chef Ameer and his team made us feel like family and were great in their communication. When the Art Factory force-closed 3 weeks our from our wedding we were left in a panic not sure what was going to happen. We were lucky enough to book another venue and we contacted Chef Ameer and he made us feel so at ease letting us know that they were with us and going to ride it out to completion. The communication from that day through our wedding was incredible. The day of Chef and his team were at our new venue nice and early and preparing for our 145 guests. Throughout the day from cocktail hour, to dinner, and finally dessert his team delivered on everything they had promised us. We got so many compliments on our food it made us so happy. Can not recommend Fresh Chef highly enough for your next event.

Went to a friends wedding. This company is an absolute joke. There was no salad dressing on my salad. The line to the bar (because they weren’t supplying the bar properly) was insane. There wasn’t even butter for my bread. My husband is vegan and he had absolutely nothing to eat. The pasta that I had was literally rock hard. When the couple tried to do their champagne toast, which they personally bought the champagne for, they couldn’t “find” it and didn’t try to even fix the problem.

Was at a friends wedding. The bride who is a vegan was served CRAB CAKES. The pizza was 100% frozen pre bought garbage. No one should use this company for catering. All 5 star reviews are from the chef and/or the staff. This surely wasn’t “fresh”

Fresh Chef catered our 300 person wedding in Mystic CT. I cannot fully express my gratitude for the professionalism and love Chef Ameer and his team put into not only the food and its presentation, but the entire planning process. My guest TOP comment about our wedding was that “the food was FIRE”!!! High praise coming from some of the most sceptical Nigerian aunties. You cannot fail going with Fresh Chef Caterers. What a joy! Thank you and God bless you, Chef Ameer and team for helping make our wedding day an incredible experience for us, our family and friends!

I am saddened to write this review because I had a lot of hope for Fresh Chef Catering. Before I go further let me disclose that my husband and I had no issues with the food, in fact it was great! However the services that were provided to us were disappointing and bit unprofessional to say the least. Some of the promises that were made to us were unfulfilled. Which greatly affected our wedding day. During the planning process we were re-directed and introduced to SO MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE who claim to be the directors of the catering for our wedding, which was unsettling and confusing. I felt myself having to remind each person what I envisioned for my wedding. On the day of the wedding I find out that my guest are serving themselves instead of having the staff scoop the food in their plates as previously agreed. And I was also bombarded several times about the flavor of the wedding cake. Not only did the wedding cake come out EXTREMELY LATE but it wasn’t even the flavor we asked for. Most of our guest had left by the time the cake arrived including our photographer. So we missed out on some great photos. Again the food was great and at the end of the day, my husband and I made the best out of what was given to us but I definitely believe Fresh Chef’s services was not at all worth what they asked us to pay. Including the 20% gratuity they added to our bill. Tread with caution, and make sure you ACTUALLY get what you paid for!
