Briggs Funeral Home cared for our family during one of the most difficult chapters of our lives, and I truly cannot say enough about how grateful we are. From the beginning, they were supportive, patient, transparent, and genuinely kind. Every part of the process was explained clearly, and we never felt rushed, pressured, or unsure of what was happening. During a time when our family was grieving and overwhelmed, that level of care meant more than words can fully express. They helped us honor my mom in a way that felt personal, beautiful, and full of love. The extra touches they added for her Celebration of Life did not go unnoticed, and the day was everything I hoped it would be and more. I truly believe my mom would have loved it. I also want to recognize the staff who were there during her service. Their presence was calm, respectful, and attentive. They helped everything move smoothly without ever making us feel rushed or managed. They were quietly supportive in the background and handled the day with so much care and dignity. What stood out most was that they did not treat this like just another service. They cared. They truly cared about my mom, about our family, and about helping us create something meaningful during such a painful time. We are so thankful for Tim, Christi, and everyone at Briggs Funeral Home. Every person who played a part in helping us honor my mom made a difference, and our family will always be grateful.

Our experience with Briggs Funeral Home in Chesapeake was truly refreshing during one of the most difficult times in our lives after losing my mother. Tim and Christie walked us through every step of the process and made something so overwhelming feel much easier. No matter what we needed, they made it a priority to help in the most caring and compassionate way. The entire team and staff at Briggs were extraordinary and caring. Everyone we encountered showed kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion throughout the entire process. The facility is beautiful, new, and has such a lovely atmosphere. We were especially grateful to be able to have both my mother’s service and the reception in the same building, which made everything so much easier for our guests and for our family. The care they gave my mother and the compassion they showed all of us meant more than we can say. We are truly pleased with every detail. Even with such a beautiful facility, it still had a warm hometown feel that made us feel comfortable and cared for.

Briggs Funeral home is the best of the best. They were caring, helpful and just all around kind. Their building is absolutely gorgeous, which I loved. Most funeral homes are dark and old…not Briggs. It’s modern, light and beautiful! Tim and his Staff were so nice to work with. The part that we loved most was as a family, we were able to write my mom notes on her box before she was cremated. My kids got the closure they needed and so did I. What a meaningful gift to a family that is mourning the loss of a loved one! Thank you Tim, Betty Sue and staff for making this difficult day so much easier.

We went to Briggs because we heard of their caring, affordable service.The passing of Maria, was a shock. We needed a place that understood our lack of experience with Cremation to fulfill Maria’s wishes, as well as help organize a religious service.
