Linette Stewart is the aide that helps with my grandmother. She has been such a blessing to our family! Her compassion and kindness makes all the difference and we are so thankful for all she does here! She took my grandmother on as if she were her own gramma! She is always in contact with us when she’s not here. She’s one of a kind and we are so thankful!

We have been with Heartland almost a year and initially it was excellent. Our favored nurse Kenedra is still excellent and very supportive, caring and accommodating. Since the merge a few of the services lacked in quality. The supplies are limited, the home care aides that gives patients baths, don't value other people's time and pops up whatever time is convenient for them regardless of what is going on in the patients home. In addition the chaplain John was replaced with Amy and we preferred John's warm and spiritual presence. He was a good guy. The social worker Patty is great and goes above and beyond to support the family. The nursing staff, Kenedra, Alan and Violet are great also. Their sensitivity to the family and the patient is warm and sincere. Overall the experience has been very helpful. I'm my mother's only caregiver and needed the extra support. The only complaint were the changes that came from the merger and the lack of care that was given from the aides... otherwise we are grateful to have a team that goes the extra mile to make my mother comfortable. Oh also, the speed of getting my mother in a facility during our recent power outage was handled efficiently and expeditiously. And Alan came and made sure that her check in at the facility was taken care of. I'm grateful for the team of nurses and the social worker Patty for caring about my family at this difficult time. Thank you!

I cannot imagine going through the pain of letting my mother go without the presence of the nurses at ProMedica on hand to be of comfort to her and to our entire family. Everyone who came into our home reflected the utmost professionalism, humanity and provided angelic care. Rachel headed up our nursing team. She was so wonderful that my Mom went from not wanting any care to looking up and saying -I love you- to Rachel whenever she came into the room. This says so much as my mother was a nurse in her own right at the VA hospital in Coatesville, PA. The care given spoke volumes to me as I had been of the mind that Hospice meant Death but this team, who became a part of our family for almost a year, never spoke of death. They spoke of life and living every day. And Mom did just that. She LIVED until the day she was ready to go. Thank You! I Love You ALL! Diana Lewis.

I cannot recommend this hospice. Mom was initially on Promedica Hospice based in Traverse City for a year where she received excellent cares. She transferred to Promedica Hospice based in Southfield, for what turned out to be her final 3 months, believing the level of care would be the same. Our family received very fragmented and inconsistent cares from this particular agency. From missed visits, unreturned phone calls, blood pressure cuffs and thermometers that did not work; short visits without connection to the client, lack of teaching, spiritual care that was not client centered, and needing to advocate for Mom on several occasions to receive the cares of hospice (nursing, spiritual care, supplies, support). Bottom line: Mom and our family did not receive the cares Mom deserved. Hospice is a calling and some of the nurses were not called--it was a job. My Mom knew it. We were very disappointed in Promedica. Grateful we as a family were knowledgeable and able to provide the care she deserved.

I wish I remembered the names to give specific credit to this one particular gal, but we just lost my dad November 17th so everything right now is a blur. But if it wasn't for your staff & what hospice care really wants entailed, we'd just be lost. Your organization/team just took such good care of my dad & his needs, we are forever grateful!!! Heartland Hospice Ann Arbor, is a wonderful organization and I know at times the staff never receive the gratitude & appreciation they deserve as I'm sure, at times they can feel like it's thankless job. How very contrary & untrue our sentiment are. We will be sending donations soon. Thank you again!!
