Eastern Star Church

I BEEN GOING TO EASTERN STAR OFF AND ON AROUND 8 MONTHS WHICH I ACTUALLY WAS LIKING THIS MINISTRY. THE ONE REASON I HAVEN'T JOINED IS BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO FIND NEW LEADER SHIP AND DUE TO THE LEADERSHIP I WAS UNDER AT INSPIRATIONAL BAPTIST CHURCH VICTOR COUSENS I'M VERY LEARY OF WHO I FOLLOW. WHICH PASTOR JEFFREY JOHNSON HANDS DOWN 5 STAR. I KNOW EASTERN STAR HAVE RULES AND SOMETIMES PEOPLE HAVE ISSUES THAT ONLY CHURCHES MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP AND WHEN THE EASTERN STAR TELL YOU ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET THE HELP YOU HAVE TO BE A MEMBER. REASON LIKE THIS IS WHAT TURN PEOPLE AWAY FROM CHURCH. IF A PERSON IS REACHING OUT MULTIPLE TIMES AND FINALLY CONNECT WITH A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH AND THAT MEMBER WHICH IS A REVEREND TELL YOU THEY CANT DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE A MEMBER SAYS A LOT ABOUT THAT EASTERN STAR. THAT REVEREND MIGHT OF HAD A GOOD CHANCE TO SAVE A LIFE. INSTEAD YOU HAVE TO JOIN CHURCH GO TO CLASS AND GRADUATE BY THAT TIME YOUR ISSUE MIGHT HAVE OVER COME YOU. SO THIS IS WHY EASTERN STAR IS RECEIVING 1 STAR AND NOT 5! I COULD HAVE BEEN A MEMBER.

I love Eastern Star church because the word of God is ALWAYS preached without being changed, the honesty of Pastor Johnson and the associate pastors helps me to understand and apply the word of God! The singing and the conductor are truly AWSOME :). I am proud to say that this is my church home! You are always welcome to join us (you won't be sorry)!!!!!

Today i woke up and decided that i wanted to go to church and this just happen to be the church i went to. I heard somebody say tomorrow is not promised you should give your life over to Jesus Christ. I wanted to do that today BUT the atmosphere I got when I walked in definitely was not what I was expecting. I have a 3month old baby in a car seat. The greeter at the door said hey we have a room where you put the car seat at. I was confused so I kept walking and then when I got to the sanctuary doors the usher told me that I couldn’t come in with the car seat. I told her that my child was sleep and then was basically told if I couldn’t take my child out the car seat I wouldn’t be able to attend service. I think I’m more hurt that I wanted to give my life to Christ today and join this amazing church but I couldn’t because of the way they do things. I understand this is a big church and I’m not sure who will read this post but maybe the church should invest in a section where you are able to bring the car seat in instead of holding your child throughout the entire service. I was so on edge that my child was going to cry during service and they was going to kick me out but thankfully my child slept throughout the entire service. I don’t feel like anybody should feel that way at church. But I’m praying that I would find a church home and give my life to Christ on day.

I was there as a guest. The building was nicely appointed and the members seeme friendly. They seemed to be in touch with the conviences of technology. I was most impressed with the minister and the chorus. The members seemed welcoming. If you are looking for a church home, this is one to consider. What I like most is how educational the sermon was.

Eastern Star Church in this pastor pastor and first lady Johnson are amazing teachers I love being there and I plan on being there for a long time thank you so much for the great wisdom inside and worship that we experience at Eastern Star Church where Jesus is exalted and the word is explained.
