We had a surprise stay in Fort Wayne to see my son's doctor. Ronald Mcdonald staff was helpful and friendly. It's like a little house inside the hospital. Good place to rest from medical stress. The food and drinks available are helpful for parents who forget to eat between meetings and appointments. Safe place for parents and children.

I stayed in the Ronald McDonald house when my daughter was born and it was the best experience ever! The volunteers were so great and provided everything we could possibly need. The kitchenette was always stocked with snacks/drinks and they provided dinner every night. I was able to come and go throughout the day and it was so nice to have somewhere to go that felt “homey” after being in the nicu all day. I wasn’t even aware of the services they provided till the hospital made me aware of it after I delivered my daughter. When they walked me to the Ronald McDonald house I was amazed! It makes me emotional thinking about it because they make such a huge impact for families with sick children. Beyond blessed to have them when needed!

I am a volunteer at this location and from what I can see, it’s run pretty well. The house has 16 private bedrooms for family members of hospitalized children. The house includes a kitchen with pantry, a large family room, a play area, a 24-hour laundry room and a 24-hour kitchenette. Breakfast and dinner are served daily. The house also sends a cart with snacks and drinks to the pediatric hospital areas regularly. Common areas are kept very clean!

Our daughter was born after emergency c-section and had to treated her in Newborn-ICU at Parkview hospital for weeks. We are from 2 hours away from hospital. One of the nurse from NICU referred us to this place , we got a room within a day, amazing lady named Cindy checked us in and explained everything and offered all kinds of help we needed. Because of RMHC we had access to all kinds of food,(kitchen with fully stock pantry), clean clothes and good rest 24/7, even place to host the family who come visit from hours away. People who work and volunteer are amazing, they give you space you need , and always there if you needed help. We saved a lot of money by staying here. Most importantly we got to spend more time(no amount of money will ever buy that time)with our daughter while she was going through all kinds of difficult treatments for a few days old baby. We accumulated lots of stuff during those weeks, as we were checking out another amazing person name Sarah help us with the moving stuff out of the building. Our daughter is home now and she is doing great. We'll be telling her how grateful and thankful for RMHC and people who work and volunteer there for years to come.

So amazing! I cannot tell you without getting emotional how wonderful they all were. Gretchen and Tina were incredible! The whole staff was so helpful and kind. I have never imagined until now what a blessing the Ronald McDonald house is. Thank you so much for treating us like family. We are forever grateful 🤗
