Our Family Service Advisor, Deidra Cunningham, is truly amazing. From the moment we met with her to finalize the burial services for my dad, to helping design the headstone and keeping us informed when it was set, she went above and beyond every step of the way. She even sent us pictures of the headstone once it was placed, which meant so much to our family. Deidra was very communicative, compassionate, and attentive to our family’s needs. Even after the services, she continues to check on my mom and me, which has meant more than words can express. Deidra has truly been a blessing to our family during this difficult time. For this we are forever grateful.

I am absolutely appalled by the way my father’s grave and our family were treated by this cemetery. My father was buried here six months ago. According to our Jewish religious customs, we do not visit the gravesite or place a permanent headstone during the first year after a person passes away. Recently, my husband attended a memorial service near my father’s grave and decided to briefly check on the site. To our shock, the temporary plaque placed at my father’s grave had been moved to a completely different grave, and there was no visible marker identifying where my father was buried. We immediately contacted the cemetery hoping to resolve what should have been treated as a serious and sensitive issue. Instead, we were met with dismissive, careless, and completely unaccommodating responses. When we asked where my father was buried so we could at least return the plaque to the correct location, the representative responded: “How should I know where he is buried? You didn’t give me any of his information.” At no point did he attempt to calmly ask for my father’s information or help remedy the situation. I cannot express how disturbing it is to have to beg for basic respect and accountability regarding a deceased loved one. This is not a minor inconvenience. Families trust cemeteries to care for and properly maintain the resting places of the people they love most. The fact that my father’s marker was moved to the wrong grave, leaving no indication of where he was buried, is deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution others before choosing this cemetery for their loved ones.

Restland truly held my family's hands through my father's passing - every employee that we worked alongside made the process as smooth as it could have been. Restland came to our house in the middle of the night and both people were kind and respectful (and tolerated my family's dark humor which is our way of coping with our grief). Adrianna was very supportive when going over our options and was so sweet to ensure that everything stayed comfortably within our means. The real hero came from behind the scenes. Nikki Hardy really took ownership and was amazing at keeping us up to date and respecting my father. We opted for no service and a very simple cremation but still had our hands held and felt supported the same as if we had chosen a more complete package. Nikki even went above and beyond to make sure we were given his remains privately to ensure we could go through the emotional experience of seeing him for the first time comfortably. Being able to process the emotions of "dad-in-a-box" without onlookers was truly appreciated. It's obvious why Restland is the go-to in this industry - everyone we worked with was kind, relatable, funny, unique, and most importantly respectful. Nobody wants to navigate a cold, "corporate sales" type of environment when they're processing their trauma so keep employing these uniquely amazing human beings!! It truly has so much impact on families when they can focus on grieving and leave the rest in the hands of such empathetic people. 🖤

A five-star rating IS Andrew Varghese! He listened to what I wanted and was able to materialize what I could not describe. Andrew produced a masterpiece urn arrangement for my mother that perfectly captured the essence of her elegance. His craftsmanship is IMPECCABLE. His customer service is endearing and exemplary. In addition, Jessie Puga was thorough and patient when we met to finalize the arrangements. During times like this, persons with character like hers is essential. Jessie was steady, warm, and professional from start to finish.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible service we received at Restland Funeral Home. As someone who had never planned a service before, I initially felt overwhelmed and unsure of how to proceed. It started out really rocky, but then Andrea, the manager, stepped in and was an absolute lifesaver. Her compassion and guidance made all the difference during such a difficult time. Talina truly went above and beyond to ensure the flowers were exactly how I envisioned them. They turned out stunning and added a beautiful touch to the service. Jennifer was also a remarkable help; she worked tirelessly to make sure the programs and video were flawless, which greatly eased my mind. Throughout the viewing and service, Todd was excellent and showed the highest regard for my family and our fragile emotional state. His support meant the world to us during such a challenging time. In the end, what emerged was the most beautiful service I could have ever imagined. My dad received full military honors, and having the Patriot Riders in attendance made it an incredibly memorable way to honor his life and service. Thank you, Restland Funeral Home, for your exceptional care and empathy. You helped us create a lasting tribute to my dad that we will cherish forever.
