Gentiva Hospice

Something seems off with how RN is scheduled to visit and all of a sudden social worker and Dr will be joining them. The huge push to end hospice seems to be the focus. Where is the patient focus care???

What an amazing group of individuals that work for this agency. Words cannot express how grateful my family and I are for all the care that they provided my husband in his final months. Abby, the RN caring for my spouse went above and beyond in preparing us for his transition to dying. Kate, the social worker was always there for support. Rachel the CNA, was kind and so helpful. My family and I are so grateful for these individuals and all the others associated with this agency, who provided loving care to my spouse.

I have worked with many hospice providers. However, Gentiva in particular never can tell us what time of day a nurse or CNA would be coming by. This makes it extremely difficult to plan care or other appointments. The communication is terrible. No one calls to let you know that a nurse or CNA will not be showing up at all the day you are expecting them. I do not recommend this company.

Gentiva is a great agency! They've always been very communicative and provide great patient care. Top notice hospice agency that truely puts patients first.
