Janet Boney did not prescribe the medication she said she would and then has been unreachable for over a week. Was 15 minutes late to the initial appointment as well. Wasted my time and money :(

I had horrible experiences with Thriveworks. I didn’t know that it was a corporate clinic. I don’t do well with corporate clinics because they treat me like a number more than a person. The front desk people pressured me to make an appointment with a psychiatric nurse practitioner that I didn’t want to be seen by. I wanted to be seen by a therapist first. I had very negative experiences with the psychiatric nurse practitioner and the therapist. They were not very knowledgeable at all about being hyper and high functioning autism. They seem to care and specialize more in ADHD and low functioning autism. I was not very welcomed by the therapist Sarah Kate Hawkins. She didn’t want to help me and serve me at all due to me being Hispanic and my ethnicity being Chilean. I didn’t feel comfortable being seen by a Caucasian therapist. I wanted to be seen by a therapist who has the same race as me or a minority therapist. She criticized my dad for living with me. That is something that a therapist should not make a comment about. Thriveworks pressure me to make appointments with therapists weekly which I don’t have the time to do it weekly. I can only do it weekly. Thriveworks has a horrible billing department. They charge me $500 for the sessions that I did weekly with the therapist. I cannot afford to pay $500. I can only afford to pay $80 to $200. They didn’t give me an option to have a refund of the money like other non cooperate mental health clinics do. They didn’t even notified me that the psychiatric nurse practitioner that I had seen by left the practice. Also, they didn’t know notified me that after 15 days, my bill went into collections. They didn’t know email me of the name of the collection agency that my bill went into.

I am amazed at how comfortable my counselor Tammy Boone has been able to make me feel in such a short time. Her style of listening and responding is the perfect fit my troubled mind. I feel so hopeful for the first time in a long time!
