When our family arrived at Palm Northwest Mortuary to discuss the headstone and burial arrangements for my late husband and my children’s great-grandmother, we were overwhelmed with emotion. This was an especially meaningful circumstance for our family, as my late husband passed away in 2018, and one of his final wishes was to be buried beside his grandmother, who lived an incredible 106 years. From the moment we met Detra, she treated our family with incredible compassion, patience, and kindness. She explained every detail thoroughly and recognized how important it was for our family to make this beautiful and meaningful. We are a bilingual family, and I deeply appreciated that the funeral home provided someone who could speak Spanish with part of our family while Detra stayed with me and my children, who preferred English, to continue guiding us through everything with such care and empathy. What stood out most to me was her follow-up and genuine support throughout the process. She didn’t treat us like just another family walking through the doors. She made us feel seen, heard, and cared for during one of the most difficult times in our lives. At this point, she feels more like a friend than simply a funeral arranger. Her professionalism, expertise, and compassion truly touched our family. In fact, the experience was so meaningful that my niece is now considering becoming a funeral director because of the impact she made. The service, the staff, the communication, and even the ease of parking made an incredibly difficult experience feel just a little lighter. Everyone at Palm Northwest Mortuary deserves recognition for the care and hard work they provide to families. Thank you, Detra, and thank you to the entire Palm Northwest team. We will never forget your kindness.

Went to a funeral last summer here. I’m not impressed by this franchise location. They charge so much extra to serve just appetizers, say it’s “quality food” from such a “great catering company”. Yet it was subpar looked like everything came from Costco then heated in a microwave food lumpia is supposed to be crunchy not soggy, the coconut shrimp had no coconut also not crunchy, the fruit tarts which the family were told were “fresh fruit” just like the picture in there “catering book” were apple tarts that tasted like they had been frozen and re-heated from the fall/winter the year before. As someone who knows the family well this was completely the worst company to go through. From start to finish if your “sales” people can’t be dedicated enough to keep in touch with the family members handling everything you need more “salespeople” because that’s what they are up-sale, after up-sale. Trying to make more money off an already really sad situation with a family who’s grieving enough with an unexpected sudden death. If you don’t have to go through them for food or anything don’t it’s not worth what they charge.

Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery gave me a calming feeling in my heart from the moment I walked in. I felt so much comfort and compassion from Griselda, she explained the details thoroughly. Our family’s requests were all met on a satisfactory level and above my expectations. We were proud to have held services at PNM&C it delivered us peace of mind.

EXCEPTIONAL experience TWICE! After losing both my parents within 4 years, Palm Northwest has been extremely gentle with my Mother and I after my Dad’s passing and then with me for my Mother. Their staff and especially Detra, Sam and Nicola even recognized my Mother in the picture I presented on the initial arrival of my Mother’s remains from her visiting my Daddy’s burial site! I am now pre-planning my own arrangements so my children will be able to grieve properly without the burden of making my arrangements. I HIGHLY recommend Palm Northwest!

To lose a love one is the most difficult of emotions to undergo by the family members of the deceased. Much more to add to the family’s undertaking is the stress over planning, arranging, and organizing funeral services to follow suit after a love one’s passing. Palm Mortuary in Northwest definitely stepped in after we made in contact with them to assist us in planning for our dad’s funeral/internment arrangements and services. We are so thankful for the great help of funeral directors Miss Claudia Perez and Miss Jackie Delacruz. Both were very professional, yet personable in their approach to us, very nice, compassionate, knowledgeable. They both made sure they had laid out all the informations for planning. Both were attentive to details and considerate of our options and decisions. All our concerns and phone calls were returned and handled promptly. We are beyond at awe, and grateful for carefully well planned, well organized funeral service’s accommodation. Everything went perfectly smooth and wonderful from nice, quiet room during my dad’s private family viewing, solemn funeral mass service, committal service, delightful catered food during the reception services. Palm Mortuary in Northwest services definitely alleviated our stress and was reciprocated with 100% positive, satisfactory expectations on our part. Our family all have nothing, but everything in praises for all the staff of Palm Mortuary ( also to make mention of the assistants during the services : Angelica or Angela (?) , and Aareal) . Once again, northwest Palm Mortuary, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts from our family. Godbless all of you .
