Bakersfield First Assembly

Love this place. Felt right at home and like family my first visit. Tones of small/life groups and ministries to get involved in. Plenty of fun things for the youth to get/keep them involved. Pastor Lair is down to earth and welcoming.

This is a very active church in the Bakersfield community, and Pastor Gary and Pastor James are wonderful and their family it as well. If you're looking for a good sermon a little laugh and no sugar coating this is the place. They have week bible studies, they do missionary trips they have women's retreats, and if you have children like i do they have a nursery for your littles and an awesome children's church for the youth and teens. Both ministry leaders are awesome and all the ladies in the nursery are super sweet and loving. They also have a section for Celebrate Recovery which is an amazing program to help anyone with hurts habits and hang ups! This is an incredible church, I'm blessed to be able to attend.

I have had an amazing experience at First Assembly of God Church. The choir, Praise and Worship team is fantastic. The teaching of the Word is highly anointed and It is a Full gospel church. I visited the church in April 2021 for the first time but fell in love with the simplicity and holiness of the church.

I grew up here and attend with my mother. It was a great place for all of my brothers and I to grow, become part of the family, and most of us got married there. The pastor is great. Super sermon last Sunday. They are seating inside.

We have been attending Bakersfield First Assembly of God for 16 yrs now. The Holy Spirit is always present and we LOVE our church FAMILY. First service is more contemporary, (Old School). Second service is a modern service with GREAT music to Worship and give Praise and Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, then we receive a message the Holy Spirit wants us to hear. That we are saved by Grace and we grow thru our Faithfulness.
