Kentwood Christian Church

I felt so embarrassed and offended by this church. I was in desperate need to use the bathroom, and the places I went--there were none available. I stopped by the church without a doubt in my mind that they would open their doors to any one in need. To simply use the bathroom. The person who answered the door seemed angry that I was knocking. He then became rude, and told me "I can't help you, theres probably a gas station down the road". I had my wife and baby in the car, I just needed to go to the bathroom. Me and my wife have no clue as to why he even would treat anyone like that, or talk to anyone in such a disrespectful manner- for any reason honestly. I felt embarrassed, I was belittled, and ultimately--I was hurt. Please do better Kentwood Christian Church. :(

We love the atmosphere, people and pastor. Little smaller congregation with room to grow. Bible teaching only. If it's not in the bible it won't be preached on. Which is a breath of fresh air in this world at this point in time.

I paid for the full year up Front"before covid". When months later after we wondered where was our refund, "because of covid"they said we owed them money. "How do we owe you money." This was months after I wondered why we didn't get our refund during covid. Sent them pictures of our contract signed and paid for in full for the year. I Got a small % of it back. I believe because the people running the place can't admit wrong doing. They Just love drama and want the hope of a little extra after the fact.

I love this church. Everyone here seems to be so caring. And it doesn't stop at the church doors. They all are genuinely nice people who actually do care for one another. And NO judgment. Warm welcome always. The pastor is definitely solid.

This has been my home church for several years now. The people here are friendly, inviting, and genuine. The word of God is preached faithfully every Sunday, and there's an engaging and age-appropriate children's program for the younger crowd. The praise music is mostly modern with some updated hymns in rotation, and it's always uplifting.
