Experience with Immigration Services – Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County
I hired the services of Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County for my immigration process and my personal experience was below expectations, especially when considering the cost charged.
The total fees were significantly higher than what is typically charged by high-end private immigration law firms in other locations, including Los Angeles. For comparison, I consulted services from Gondim Law Corp, a specialized immigration law firm, where the pricing was less than half of what I paid.
Despite the higher cost, the level of service and communication did not meet the expectations that usually come with premium pricing. In my experience, the client support and case follow-up were limited, and communication could have been more clear and consistent throughout the process.
It is important to note that this is based solely on my personal experience and may not reflect the experience of other clients. However, I believe it is relevant to highlight that affiliation with a religious organization does not necessarily guarantee better value, lower cost, or higher quality service.

Reception is rude its not the first time someone mention to me the lady from front desk is rude not at all profesional wats so ever if your not happy with your job just find something else no need to laugh about peoples situations while we trying to explain luckily im getting help somewhere else that are more professional and was able take care of the situation quicker with no hassle

The staff member who answered the intercom phone was very rude and impatient. She appeared frustrated when I asked for a simple request . Her repeated sighs and dismissive behavior made the interaction stressful, especially considering I am in a difficult situation and reaching out for support.
Behavior like this can discourage people from reaching out and leave them to suffer in silence, which is the opposite of the supportive environment a charity should provide.
I hope Catholic Charities takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all staff are trained to handle sensitive situations with patience, respect, and compassion.

Reach out to Catholic Charities, but the coordinator who pick up the phone was inpatient, rude, and wouldn't answer straight forward questions. It was really disappointing.

I have known of Catholic Charities for decades but was not sure what, exactly, they did. I was referred to them through my therapist, and they have hooked me up with different employment services. Their staff are incredible. Thanks! 😊
