I don’t know where to begin. Alyssa quite literally made our day as wonderful as she possibly could and I owe her the biggest thank you. From the personalized menu at our tasting to the plated meal set in front of me at dinner. I never once had to even get my own drink. All of the catering staff was beyond pleasant, helpful, and friendly. I would hire them just for the people. The food?! Amazing. We went back and forth about different things and Alyssa was so flexible with helping us adjust our order. Mini crab cakes are probably my favorite only second to the filet that melted in my mouth. Thank you Roots for making our wedding amazing!

Alyssa, her team including the chef, servers, and other supporting staff pulled off an amazing Wedding Dinner Buffet, that was months in planning. The rentals enhanced the lovely venue, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was all smiles and support for my family and all of our guests. There is absolutely no hesitation in offering a hearty WELL DONE from our grateful family! We will use them again for all kinds of events coming up in our future. We added a special coffee cup logo for our to go coffee cups, created a specific menu based on the families needs and wants that was amazing. Our guests raved about each of the items served. We highly recommend Alyssa and her team for future events. We will be using them again as our official family Caterer! Thanks Alyssa and Team!!!

Roots catered my wedding and my husband and I could not have been happier! The entire menu was delicious and the portions were exactly right for our crowd. I am truly obsessed with the Figs in a Blaket and would eat them every day. Alyssa provided the most amazing customer service and guided us through building the perfect menu for us, down to boxing us up Togo snacks to take home which were absolutely clutch after our long day. I recommend Roots for any occasion and will absolutely book with them again.

We started our search for a wedding caterer not realizing that plated meals aren’t as common for weddings anymore, which made finding one that does plated meals at all AND within our budget difficult. Roots was incredibly accommodating and worked with us every step of the way to stay within what we were comfortable spending. Alyssa was a true professional and such a pleasure to work with. She made us feel at ease during the tasting and throughout the entire planning process, which meant a lot during such a busy time. I never had to worry about lack of communications with her. As two Northeasterners living in Charlotte, we initially found the salt levels a bit higher than what we’re used to, but the team was very receptive to our feedback and adjusted everything perfectly for the wedding. There was only one hors d’oeuvre and one dessert that couldn’t be modified, and even those were still enjoyed by our guests. The entrée portions were generous. That is something we really appreciated after experiencing smaller portions at other tastings for even larger amount of money per plate. Overall, we were so happy we chose Roots and truly grateful for their flexibility, professionalism, and delicious food.
