We hired Hamby Catering for our May 2026 wedding in Charleston. The whole team goes above and beyond when it comes to their customer service, delicious food and creative ideas. We received so many compliments from our guests on the attentiveness of Hamby’s staff, our guests really felt cared for. Our guests are still raving about how delicious all of the passed hors d’oeuvres were during our cocktail hour, their entrees and the late night bites! From start to finish Hamby was professional, responsive and truly the best at what they do!

There are a few of things that make a wedding top tier; the couple, the coordinators, and the food. You want Hamby to do your food and drinks. We did carving stations. My guest, who would have told me if it was not good (you know like aunties and grannies) all thought the food was spectacular. Glowing reviews from African American aunties that battle yearly on who will do the collards and mac and cheese on Thanksgiving. They all gave Hamby their approval. Shrimp and grits & Espresso Martinis were such a hit. Them collards greens, TENDER & SEASONED The staff were attentive and generous. I wish I could have tipped them more. Your go bag will be full for after wedding meal with your spouse at 2 am. WE STILL EATING two days later. Professional, and I will never forget going for the tasting and we were welcomed with, “Are you guys here to party?” That’s the vibe. Kara, she put is at ease and worked perfectly with our day of coordinators. If you read this far, you cannot go wrong with Hamby. Do it, they are worth every penny.

Hamby catered our engagement party on 4/4 and we couldn't have been happier! Caroline worked hard to build us a custom menu that would work both for our budget and for the flow of our event. We landed on a mix of passed appetizers, a self serve grazing station, and two premium stations. This provided plenty of options for people (a quick bite or a full meal). Our guests raved about the food the most! I highly recommend working with the team at Hamby for your next event!

Was so easy to order online and pick up the day of the event. Serving Instructions were very clear and easy. Glad I ordered extra so I had leftovers:)

They served at our work Christmas party and the food was AMAZING. The Mac n cheese and collard greens where seasoned well and I could not get enough. They also served short ribs that were so tender and the sauce served with it was so savory and paired well with everything. The servers cleared plates and no one had a bad attitude. It was an amazing evening because of them!
