Place has been around forever and your telling me they can't look into someone's past even with a consent. My daughter is in Upstate medical and we reached out to them for housing and had to do a background check which is great but they can't see what's there only a flag which means a past. And since I had a flag I can"t even go there to see my wife. I haven't been in trouble in over 20 years and I work in the line of corrections for New York state . I agree with the background check but why not look into it more to find out details before denying someone. They shoud be able to ask the person to sign a consent for them to do a deep dive and view thier conviction(s). It's BS and unfair to people who have become a good member of society.

We were very thankful for everything they did for us while our daughter was in the nicu for a little over a week. But the other visitors have no respect for anyone. Most of us have babies in the nicu and some of these people were up till 2-4am stomping around and being very loud. Some were playing loud music and seemed to have been partying. It was insane because we were just trying to sleep and we had a 1 year old with us that kept getting woken up from people above us being very loud. These other people didn’t even have kids with them. We would talk to the workers and they would talk to the other people about being loud and it was all adults. How do you have no respect that you’re asked to quiet down and instead you just get louder??

Day staff are wonderful! Night staff are rude disrespectful and when making dinner for my kids and I she looked at me with disgust shaking her head. She asked me why I didnt have money to go get dinner. I said because you provide. Night staff lady was extremely rude to my children as well. Also on bed check the one bed had tons of brown stains along the comforter and a blood stain very put off as well as stains on sheets and pillow cases. Very off put.

I cannot say enough how wonderful of an experience we had staying here while our son was in the NICU. The staff was friendly and kind, and all the amenities truly made things so much easier. The support they offer is unbelievable and it feels like home. We did lose our son, but were able to save a baby bird that fell out of its nest outside on the day we were returning home.

Very nice place to rest when your child is in hospital. They even have a nice fireplace. Very friendly volunteers will go out of their way to welcome you and help you with any questions.
