Kenny Sokolow was awesome, always helpful, always available. Having the unfortunate opportunities to plan many funerals, I really didn’t want to leave that responsibility to my children. I would highly recommend.

It is with heartfelt gratitude to post this review for the team at Mount Nebo Memorial Gardens Kendall. I want to thank Lori Solomon and her professional team, especially Tashiana Johnson, who was the primary funeral director in care of our family and helping with the final arrangements for my mom. The communications, attention to details, and quick responses, helped comfort us during our time of need.

The staff at Riverside Gordon at Mt. Nebo at Kendall are kind and caring, from Chelsea Peele (who I met years ago) to Lori Rehr, and Kenny Sokolow. Most of us need sensitivity at times like these. I want to especially thank Matt Grenet for helping me feel comfortable in expressing what I needed in creating inscriptions for my parents' marker. He always made me feel as though nothing I inquired about was a problem or that anything was too much to ask. He made me aware of a benefit for my father that I had not known about previously. I can not adequately express my apprecition for his kindness and empathy.

I called recently to inquire about the location of some relatives, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Matt Grenet. I was genuinely impressed by how compassionate and patient he was. I also learned he's in charge of the marker department, and knowing I’ll likely have to go through this process myself soon, I had a few more questions. From the moment we started talking, he made me feel heard and supported, never rushing, and always taking the time to make sure I understood every detail. It’s clear he doesn’t just do his job, but truly cares about the families he works with. His professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. People like Matt make all the difference when calling a funeral home, and it’s clear he’s someone any family would be lucky to work with.

I would absolutely recommend Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall) to friends and family. I wasn’t familiar with all the details that go into planning a service, and Traci guided us through the entire process with such grace, warmth, and professionalism. She truly made a difficult time easier for our entire family. We were especially touched by the thoughtful touches, like the beautifully arranged catering, which we didn’t even realize was an option. Everything came together seamlessly, and we were able to focus on celebrating her life. One of the most meaningful parts of the experience was how personal and attentive Traci made everything feel. While we were choosing flowers and special touches for the service, she took the time to really listen to us. There were some items that just didn’t reflect my mother-in-law’s style—especially anything with a photo—and Traci shared a moment of laughter with my daughter and me as we told stories about her personality and the things she definitely wouldn’t have wanted. She truly made us feel understood and cared for.
