Bible Study Fellowship

Simply the best way to study the bible in community. The questions are accessible and thought provoking. The lectures are informative and the notes go even deeper. But the best is sitting with a small group of fellow sojourners discussing and applying the lesson.

For those of you who ask if is this a cult, it definitely is not. I have been a part of a Bible Study Fellowship Bible study for 10+ years. Ladies and men meet all over the world locally or by Zoom in small groups to study the Bible. Look up the definition of a cult; BSF isn't even close. Obviously, those who have jumped to conclusions to suggest it is a cult, have done no research at all. Shame on you for bashing an organization whose only goal is to help others learn about Jesus.

I was in BSF for several years until the BSF leadership changed the class format to "flex". I was told that BSF wanted to boost enrollment so BSF changed from a more academic setting to a social setting. I would go to class with all my homework and reading finished just for the class moderator to say, "We will skip over the fact Qs and just talk about the personal Qs.(!?)" I was not in BSF to commiserate, gossip or to hear about the women's bad boss, unruly children or insensitive husband. I was there to learn about how King David, Elijah, Gideon, Esther, etc. handled their challenges. I believed all the answers to the challenges in our own lives were to be learned in the Bible not in a meaningless women's social hour. I seemed to be the only woman in class who very much wanted to discuss the fact Qs of the homework. I stuck it out for two more semesters but then I became despondent and had to leave BSF. I study the Bible on my own now with the curriculum of my choosing. What a travesty that BSF chose enrollment numbers over solid Bible learning.

Break of day, BSF Bible Study and Beach :). So excited for this study. Such an incredible God honoring organization. Their mission is global, in-depth Bible studies producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word and His Church. Their vision is to magnify God and mature His people.

BSF HQ has a beautiful campus with people who love Jesus and serve Him for the cause for Jesus in all the nations.
