I highly recommend working with Jonathan Mosher.
Over the past year, I have had four loved ones pass away, including both of my parents, and I have worked with many cemeteries and funeral professionals. Unfortunately, not every experience has been positive.
Jonathan was one of the few people who genuinely cared and never treated me like a customer or a transaction. He was kind, compassionate, attentive, and always willing to work around my schedule. He designed a beautiful headstone for my mother, kept me informed throughout the entire process, and made sure every detail was handled with care.
What stands out most is Jonathan himself. His professionalism, kindness, and sincerity made an incredibly difficult time a little easier to bear. I am deeply grateful for his help and would not hesitate to recommend him to others. He made sure my mother was in the best hands possible.

Kat and Jonathan were absolutely amazing to work with. During the most difficult time of my life, losing my wife and mother to my three children at the young age of 49, Kat and Jonathan stepped up in ways that I could not have imagined. I just can't thank them enough, and I will forever be grateful. From coordinating to execution, they handled everything flawlessly and even reached out long after the services were done. This is the blueprint for how handling a family during a very delicate time should be done. Thank you and God bless.

From the very first phone call Pierce Brothers staff was extremely helpful and compassionate during this most emotional time. We met with Elena Fernandez who clearly explained all of the options available. She helped to plan a viewing for my father and ultimately transportation to Texas. It was very easy to communicate and coordinate with her as she was very prompt in returning calls and emails. Elena was very helpful with arranging things in Texas with the other mortuary. If you need these services I recommend using Pierce Brothers to help you.

I have been working with Jonathan Mosher at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks in Westlake on finalizing the design of our mom's grave marker. As the marker design has become a family effort - especially with her five devoted and incredibly creative granddaughters - Jonathan has been not only extremely patient and supportive of our efforts, but he has gone far above the call of duty to address all of our myriad questions, comments and numerous revisions to create a marker which meets all our expectations and represents Mema's true character and spirit. I can't thank Jonathan and his creative folks more for their efforts. In fact, the entire process working with Pierce Brothers on my mom's service and internment has been so much easier and stress free than any of us ever expected. They really did a fantastic job during a very tough period for all of us and we are grateful.

I've had two recent experiences with Pierce Brothers since mid 2025. The first was with regards to their help when my mother passed away. She had purchased burial plans when she lived in the Phoenix area, using a Dignity Memorial facility. When my mother moved to Simi Valley, CA, her services were easily transferred to Pierce Brothers, also a Dignity Memorial facility. When she passed away, the Pierce Brothers team was very helpful and gracious, ensuring that I, as executor, had no decisions or headaches associated with Mom's final details.
Recently my husband and I met with Jonathan Mosher, Family Service Counselor with Pierce Brothers. Though I had spoken with him about preplanning for us last year, we were not ready to make decisions about our own needs and preferences until now. Jonathan has always been very helpful and patient; we felt comfortable both with him and the services offered by Pierce Brothers. This company has provided us excellent professional service, has lovely cemetery grounds and options, but also has flexibility, in the event we were to move away or need mortuary services while traveling in the US.
We are glad to finally have these decisions made and are also glad to take advantage of current pricing as it inevitably is more costly if paid out in future at time of death. I can speak from experience that the living appreciate when these decisions and payment details have been taken care of prior to need. We appreciate Jonathan helping guide us through the process.
