I had re-verification step with my insurance company and Cedar tree failed to communicate with me about lapses in coverage. They billed me directly for several weeks. We reached out to Cedar Tree to rebill the insurance, it took 5 business days for them to reply. When they did reply, they refused to rebill the insurance company even though it was corrected. Instead, they directed me to work with the insurance to rebill the charges. Poor communication, lazy billing practices. My career has been in revenue optimization for medical billing for 20 years, and I am fully aware Cedar Tree can rebill the insurance policy to refund the charges, but they simply collect more revenue from a Self-Pay visit. Therefore, putting it back on the client is in their financial interest. You have a billing system, please use it properly. If Cedar Tree replies to this with an excuse stating they “can’t rebill in these cases,” keep in mind my dentist and PCP handled the rebilling without any issues.

I started seeing Matthew at Cedar Tree in July 2018, and to say the work changed my life would be an understatement. What I thought I was struggling with turned out to be the lie I was telling myself. Matthew didn’t just help me sort it out, he helped me see it clearly, and with compassion. His direct but deeply supportive style gave me exactly what I needed: someone who could challenge me, hold space for the mess, and guide me toward something better. Through our work, I experienced radical personal transformation. I see my life differently now. And in the best way possible. People say therapy is about healing, but I’ve come to believe it’s also about truth. And when you’re ready to face it, everything starts to change. That’s what happened for me. These days, I rarely need to go back, and that’s a good thing. Because a great therapist helps you get to the place where you don’t need one anymore (at least in the same way). That’s the kind of work we did. If you’re reading this, there’s probably a reason. You’re considering therapy because something inside you knows it’s time. I encourage you: take the step. Be honest. Be open. It’s worth it.

I’ve had the worst experience with therapy my whole life, Until I met Melody with cedar tree, she is by far the best therapist I’ve ever had with the best tools, the most compassion and she is so amazing with flexibility. She made therapy feel Good again
