I cannot recommend City Monument Company enough, especially if you have the opportunity to work with Carlos. He is incredibly professional and detail-oriented, but more importantly, he is a truly kind human being. My father passed away in Honduras and was buried next to his parents in the Jewish Cemetery in San Pedro Sula. His final wish was for his headstone and ledger to be identical to theirs. This was a difficult and emotional process for me, but Carlos guided me through every step with immense empathy and understanding. Using only photos and measurements I provided, Carlos was able to perfectly recreate the design of my grandparents’ monuments. He even suggested much-needed material upgrades that will help the stone resist fading from the sun and elements, making it easier to maintain while keeping the exact look we wanted. Carlos also worked closely with me and the Jewish temple in Honduras to ensure the Hebrew writing was accurate and correct. The final result far exceeded my expectations. The decorations and details were beautiful and a fitting tribute to my father. Beyond the craftsmanship, Carlos went far above his scope of work to accommodate a complicated situation. Because Honduras was going through a difficult election and a transition of power, I was concerned about shipping and customs. Carlos held the headstone and ledger in his warehouse until the situation stabilized and the new president was in place. Carlos has a wealth of experience in an industry that requires humility and a gentle "bedside manner" when working with grieving families. This establishment was very kind & compassionate in handling my father-in-law's headstone. They were flexible with our requests, updated and cleaned the stone, and made sure everything matched perfectly, Their patience and understanding made a difficult process much easier.
