Children International

I have been with children international for over 5 years. Extra money was given at Christmas each year to support my child of 100 euros on top of my monthly fee of 36 euros. Other gifts of money was also given when I had the Extra money also. I am in retirement because of health issues at 63. We noticed something was not right just before summer of 2025. No up to date photos of our child. By the new year of 2026 we asked if our child was still with the program and we got a answer, that a letter was on it's way out to me dated the same day we asked the question and that she and her family had just move on to another town. Now the question is, if they where getting money from me each month for food and schooling and more money at the end of each year, and extra money when i could do it, then why would the family of my child move on. A lot of unanswered questions to the money that was given over the years, especially in the last 6 months still paying for a child that was gone from their books and why was I not told sooner about the child not being in the program. I am still very upset about it all. 27.05.2026

Not happy with treatment as a donor from Children's international. You would think that any donation is appreciated, $39.00 a month per child now is too high when you sponcer more than one child.

This is a scam, I sponsored kids in two different occasions in the Dominican Republic and when I asked to see or visit the child there was always a problem and never let me see the kids that I sponsored in person or via camera. Also they sent me pictures of different kids for the same child that I sponsored. 95% of the “non-profit organizations” are a scam. Is better to help someone directly or through someone you know.

I definitely vouch for CI with child sponsorship and they have done some good work with children in other countries. I had sponsored a child through them since 2017. I never got the chance to meet my sponsored child in-person unfortunately, but the organization kept me well updated during the time when I sent a package to the child!
