Moving from my well loved and long time home to assisted living is a huge change and not an easy one. Luckily I found Senior Living Specialists who guided me, led me and helped me every step of the way in spite of my changing directions and deciding to move to an entirely different area of town. Dorianne and Paul pivoted with me and provided me information about facilities best suited to me based on what I wanted in different part of town. They'd researched every place, provided me with information I may not have know to ask and gave me pros and cons to each place. Every question was met with a rapid and helpful response and often with additional information.They made me feel as if I was a dear family member to be helped to find the very best place for me. I couldn't have asked for better people to help me make a difficult decision which, in this case, was the right one. I absolutely couldn't have made a better choice and am so very pleased to recommend them highly to anyone and their family when looking for a facility.

Jill and her resources were the GLUE for me when I could not hold all the moving pieces together. We got mom settled exactly where she needs to be for now... and when it is time for another change, you can bet I will have Jill on speed dial. She gave her time and her vast knowledge so willingly, and she listened to what we needed. I am so grateful!

We have had a horrible experience with this company. We THOUGHT they would vet assisted living facilities and residential care homes before referring clients. We were referred to a residential care home and were told the owner was an RN and her home was licensed. Neither was true. We were also told the community fee was a specific amount which was incorrect. We were told there would be two caregivers which was also incorrect. For safety reasons, we moved our parents out after only 8 weeks living there. I contacted senior living specialists to express my concerns regarding information they gave us and the actual truth. They admitted they had discovered the owner was lying and “flagged” the owner. We expected the company to vet these facilities/care homes and provide accurate information. I feel this company only cares about the commission they will earn after placement. Incorrect information was provided to us AGAIN regarding another facility they referred us to after moving out of the first home. I do not believe senior living solutions employees visit these facilities. As a result of our negative experience, I do not recommend using senior living specialists.

Paul Markowitz and Senior Living Specialists are an amazing resource if you are navigating the maze of senior options for yourself or a loved one. Paul knows and is well-known locally in this industry. He interviewed us over the phone to better understand our needs for Mom. He sent us a list of 5 communities that could best meet our objectives. He facilitated tours at each of them with us. As we learned more, we refined our request and he sent us two more facilities. The task of finding the perfect spot looked daunting but Paul made it very straightforward. We have a plan now, just a few days later and it is all because someone recommended Paul as a resource.

I initially worked with Susan Johnson in finding Independent living. I then worked with Paul Markowitz (Susan was on leave) in looking at Assisted Living. Both of them were a pleasure to work with. They listened to my needs, shared their opinions, and introduced me to lovely properties for my mother. All of the properties they showed me met the needs I was looking for geographically, financially, socially, and medically. Their approach was friendly, kind, and professional. I will continue to recommend them to others. Their skillset was incredibly valuable to me as I navigated a difficult process. Thank you so much!
